OK, just occurred to me. WWII films are infamous for having characters as shorthands for certain sterotypes, even the modern ones have that: Saving private Ryan: The quiet and competent officer, the Italian Bruiser, streetsmart Jewish kid from NY, etc. If you watch Band of Brothers you get this to some extent as well.

So say we Netizens are transported into a WWII film, who would we be? Anyone deserve to be on the Nazi side? *coughShepcough*

I'd join Shep just because the bad guys' uniforms and weapons are cooler.

And then you get to lose.

I need to watch some WWII movies before I answer that. *Heads to the library.*

I'm not sure what I'd be. I'd definately not be on the battle front. Maybe some mother who hides her children from the Germans or the Russians.

Then agian, there's always the option of playing the Russian Red Army soldier. That way I could be both the bad guy and win.

I don't know of any stereotypes I fit, except perhaps the middle class white guy who is academically intelligent and mechanically adept, but is lacking in real world experience.

I'd probably be a soldier unhappy about the situation i'm in and get killed at some point, the main characters trying to get a medikit to me. Either that or do my famous appearing like i'm doing something, where i'm actually just hiding out of sight behind a tank or using my buddies as human shields.

I'd be French, why do you zink I have zis outrageous accent, you silly fanfic author...

I'd probably be one of the Russian conscripts who get massacred by their officers for retreating...

I would be the first guy killed. So I wouldn't really have time to develop much of a personality.

I'd be a german MG-42 gunner.

I'd probably be the scrawny nervous guy that either gets shot in the first five minutes, or somehow survives for the whole movie when everyone watching wants me killed, like Jar Jar Binks or something.

I'd be the guy that tries to start a rebellion among my division, only to clamped down on by the MO--er, superiors and sent to the front. But I'd probably live. Maybe have a leg blown off or something.

I'd be the war correspondant who is reluctantly forced to fight.

I would be the liaison between the"French Resistance" and the Allied Forces.

I would be that writer fella that spends most of the movie observing others doing their thing (Think Charlie Sheen from platoon) and lamenting the loss of what I used to be like before the horrors of war.

As for me, I'd probably be a medic, helping people on the frontlines or something. Maybe get a sappy, melodramatic death (ooh I hope I hope!) or a lover who dies in my arms on a makeshift hospital bed or something?

i'd be either the godless commie traitor, or that guy that rides the bomb as it's being dropped out of the airplane.

I'm scottish, so there isnt really much more to be said.....

I would be the young French girl, mother of two children, her husband shot by the Gestapo while helping two brave British officers, that offers food and shelter to the young, brave, americans that liberated her village from those german pigs.

The combat medic. Stuffing guts back into abdomens or administering morphine to wounded soldiers screaming in pain.

I'd be the guy that no-one can turn their backs to, because they'd be afraid to be stickybombed. I'd be loaded with all types of explosives and carry lots of sharp instruments to use on injured soldiers - on both sides. MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!
