Very intteresting show on Howard Stern today. He was doing a "Howieweird Squares" segment, and had a racist square, God Hates Fags square, Jewish square, homosexual square and retard square among others.

The racist was Daniel Carver of the KKK, a long time Stern guest. He was on Stern's "Butt Bongo Fiesta" tape, where he rated the various races. Interestingly, Jews were put at the bottom of the list, followed by blacks, then mexicans, mulattos, and I believe asians topped the list of the least hated race of people by the KKK.

What was interesting today, was the ultra Fundie hate-spewing woman from God Hates Fags, who recently protested the Harvey Milk High School opening in N.Y. with her young kids spewing the same hate speech she does. Anyway, this woman "suprisingly" held the same views as Daniel Carver, but isn't a racist, apparently!

Carver preaches from the bible as well, and it was funny to see the two God fearing bookends agree with one another so much. Jews are the worst, lowest people on Earth, according to them. Carver says its because the bible says they are the devil, "and the devil's deeds you'll do". The GHF woman said its because they turned their back on THEIR LORD, Jesus Christ.

Then, Gilbert Godfried piped up and said, "Can I just say something here? Don't forget, we killed Christ!"

I love that little man.

The overlap between fundies and racists in the US has always been strong, but they don't want to admit it. Sounds like it would have been a pretty damned funny show, though.

I used to listen to Stern when he was on Q107 here in Toronto, but they dropped him after a while. He had his fans, and some people were quite upset when they dropped his show, but it had its warts. It's a really long show, Howard hasn't been as funny since his separation, and the commercial breaks are so fucking long that you begin to think the show simply isn't coming back.

I love Godfried too! He is amazingly funny on the show, but strangely enough, his stand-up act isn't as funny! He broke up the entire studio with that comment!

BTW, the got Carver to admit that a pedophile would be at the very bottom of the list, no matter what his race.

Yeah, since the divorce, and ESPECIALLY, the departure of Jackie Martling, the show hasn't been what it was. There's a couple shining moments, but I don't record the show anymore. I might make the effort when Godfried comes on, though, because he's always hilarious.

Uhm... all we get around here is "Bob and Tom"... not bad, but it's not Stern.

Damn, I wish I could've heard that. Unfortunately, no station plays him anymore. Last time I heard his show was when "Big Gay Al" was on a long time ago.

Stern's act got tired years ago, and I've got better things to do on my way to work than listen to 20 minute commerical breaks.

It is very... peculiar that the KKK now are more interested in segregating Jews and gentiles than keeping black and white people seperate. Is it possible that they're trying to steal recruits from the Neo-Nazi movement?

The KKK have always been a Biblically-based group, unlike some of the other white-supremacist groups out there. It's not that surprising.

Listening to Carver and other racists over the years, the Jews are no only responsible for killing Christ, but for bringing blacks to America during the slave days...

Hey, if it made sense, it wouldn't exist, right?

There's one chilling difference between actual racists like Carver, and say, Stern for making race-based jokes, who has also been called racist. With Stern, you get the jokes, no matter how crude they are. Carver isn't joking. What makes him scary is that he's not a red in the face, spewing-saliva hate-monger. He's very matter of fact, and direct, presenting his hate as actual fact, not to be questioned. Meaning he's not a racist just to be a hate monger; he actually believes what he says in his heart. Now that's scary.
