Tarot, Palms, Other Clairvoyancies (& Homosexuality?)

Okay, I am posting HERE because I'm not sure if it should go here or the SL&M forum...I would have better luck here.
Okay.
So I read Tarot (pronounced tay-row for those oblivious morons out there). Generally, I use the Thoth deck, but I also have a Dragon Tarot.
I was wondering what opinions people have on clairvoyancy.
My new friend April (I know WAY too many people with the same name...) told me that things were supposed to work out between me and my bf in WY. She also told me that my guardian is the dragon, which is why I am so obsessed with them.
Anyways, I get vibes from certain places and people, as well as certain types of enerhy flow. Some people have given my Tarot cards bad energy, and some really good energy. Also, I can kinda predict things with both my cards and the vibes...not to mention I have told someone what their mother has looked like without ever seeing them or a picture of them (the mother).
I want to know who else is in this sort of thing, and what some people think about this. And sorry, guys, but I would prefer that really religious people stay out of this one.
Also, is it just me, or do a lot of gay people seem to have these clairvoyaint tendencies?

I make my own future. And prefer to keep it that way.

Tarot does not make your own future...it only predicts a future, btw.

Only the future that may come up. You can change it though...

Yes, in all my Tarot readings, I make sure to tell people that it only predicts the future
on the path that you are on. A lot of people have many misconceptions about Tarot and Palmreadings, but they are really quite accurate.

I never ask for a future reading. Just my capabilities. Gotta feed my ego...

And yes, I do have a good grasp of that concept (in my opinion.

That's a nice general purpose cop out there.

Tay-ro, ta-rot. Whatever it is; another fine mental placebo, as far as I can tell.
But alas I am bored; tell me what my mother looks like, and try for the specifics if possible.

Hey, the false Tarot readers don'tknow what they're doing and fail to tell people these kinds of things.
Anyways, I have been accurate to the point where it was a life-making decision. So don't mess with me and my Tarot.

Well if you can do that, surely you can sense what
my mother looks like?

If I knew you well enough, and you told me some stuff that you don't normally tell other people, yes. But I could also tell you that you're gonna be a happy person in the near future, say a few weeks. Feel free to hold me to that, too. I think it has something to do with a female.

I have little patience for those who claim an ability that doesn't exist and never will, and furthermore you admit your standard get out clause tactics just in case you fail.
In any case, why are you so angry? Surely you should have predicted my bashing you..

Oh, take any given few weeks in university time and chances are a woman will make me feel happy at some point, along with the occasional one that makes me think "aaargh! I'll never drink again!"
Still far too vague, but hey. I have work to do and it makes me feel happy so I'll take it and run.

Ui, yes. Angry--sleep dep. Can you really say that it doesn't exist? Come to ABQ and I give you a Tarot reading, change your mind. And I can't predict immediate future, btw...is a lot harder. Anyways, I DID expect to get bashed a bit, so again, BITE ME!!! As soon as you can prove that the ability doesn't exist (WITHOUT use of Scripture, as prescribed in first post), I will stop reading Tarot, and assume that my median friend is lying about me and my bf getting back together. And I'll assume that every thing that connected in my friend's Tarot last night was bullshit. The fact that every card had something to do with something in her family or friends. (ie, one Capricorn card, a Libra, a Sag, a Leo, and a Cancer) I will no longer acknowledge that I helped a friend make a decision that could have affected her life entirely. I will discount the fact that so many have had my readings and have not believed and now believe. But only if you can prove it without use of Scripture.

Mmmm.. convenient [/Homer]
What's that about? Cosmic long-sightedness?
Anyways, I DID expect to get bashed a bit, so again, BITE ME!!!
No thanks, I only eat cooked meat.
As soon as you can prove that the ability doesn't exist (WITHOUT use of Scripture, as prescribed in first post),
Burden of proof fallacy...
I will stop reading Tarot, and assume that my median friend is lying about me and my bf getting back together.
Oh please, so you got back together, anybody can say that.
You just as well might not have, and then you would've been on a "different path" or whatever.
Prophecy is always accurate - in hindsight.
And I'll assume that every thing that connected in my friend's Tarot last night was bullshit. The fact that every card had something to do with something in her family or friends. (ie, one Capricorn card, a Libra, a Sag, a Leo, and a Cancer)
If you look for associations, you will find them, nothing to do with clairvoiancy.
I will no longer acknowledge that I helped a friend make a decision that could have affected her life entirely.
And what has that to do with predicting the future, eh?
I will discount the fact that so many have had my readings and have not believed and now believe.
People believe because they are usually told what they want to hear, and in general predicitions are so vague that they can fit almost anything in hindsight.
But only if you can prove it without use of Scripture.
Who's using scripture? Anyway, YOU need to prove it works, and not just by certain coincidences.

You miss my point: Scripture says, "this is wrong." That's also what I want to avoid.
I will stop reading Tarot, and assume that my median friend is lying about me and my bf getting back together.

First off, we haven't gotten back together, yet. I haven't even talked to him since I wrote himn on Friday. Second, there are witnesses to her predictions. Some people can really tell the future as it will happen. I happen to be one of those people where it comes and goes.
And I'll assume that every thing that connected in my friend's Tarot last night was bullshit. The fact that every card had something to do with something in her family or friends. (ie, one Capricorn card, a Libra, a Sag, a Leo, and a Cancer)

Says you. Except I wasn't told her who I was making the associations with, for the most part.
I will no longer acknowledge that I helped a friend make a decision that could have affected her life entirely.
And what has that to do with predicting the future, eh?
She almost went to be with the person she loved, until he broke her heart. There were two options to this particular reading, and each color, each symbol represented something.
I will discount the fact that so many have had my readings and have not believed and now believe.
People believe because they are usually told what they want to hear, and in general predicitions are so vague that they can fit almost anything in hindsight.
My predictions are anything but vague.
But only if you can prove it without use of Scripture.

They're not "coincidences" as you put it. It depends on how the person I'm reading is feeling, how their energy is flowing, and what they are concentrating on.

I really don't believe in predictions, because they have been constantly disproven by science and skeptics.
But I'm still feeling a bit stupid right now to argue properly

One of my favourites:
[context: I'm at a Psychic Expo just for the hell of it, nb, this is where I found (and messed with) the
http://www.2012.com.au guy]
I decided to get a FREE tarot card reading.
That has turned out to be marginally accurate, but then again the fuckers were so vague it was impossible for it not to be accurate unless I turned gay, vegan, started stalking John Howard and decided that I would become a scientologist.
The "psychic" who I spoke to next was more fun...
[nb, the majority of my responses were false, as I was just messing with the guy]
Psy: I see a very strong relationship, its very near, either just starting or just ending...
Me: I just broke up with my girlfriend of three years.
Psy: Ah, but the future holds much promise, I can see you back together...
Me: Not likely, I walked in on her and my dad having sex in my bed.
Psy: Ahhh [a bit hesitant] the energy feels close, perhaps someone close to her?
Me: All her friends are lesbians. [Grin spreads across my face] Maybe one or two are bi...
Psy: I sense strong work energy.
Me: Yeah I started a new job a week ago.
Psy: It has great potential.
Me: The department was cut on Thursday. Some national downsizing thing.
Psy: [getting fidgetty] I see strong family emotions, something is happening there.
Me: Yeah, my dad and my girlfriend have been getting busy. I think there are some pretty strong emotions there.
Psy: These are female emotions...
Me: Great, so my mums getting busy in a three-way with them?
Psy: You aren't taking this seriously, your skeptic vibes are interfering.
Me: You're a hack aren't you.
Psy: Just go...
I can't wait for the next expo.

Yes, but with what accuracy. What are the chance of what you predict happening? 50% 20%?
May I sue you if they're not accurate and I die rammed by a bus instead of old age, as you predicted?
