Its starting to look less and less like some crazy fucker and more like my orgional idea of a Smart Terriost Cell(Think about it, every week somone dies to the "same" sniper, people are gonna start demanding action soon, and how will they react when the police can not provided any?)

Hmm looks like things like this will keep the war effort on the front burner, by reminding people that we are still in a war.

For the moment. If the lunatic brigade makes a habit of sniping, sniper detection systems are going to sprout up like mushrooms and the more interesting sniping locations will be closed to public use.

There is an anwer to everything. They may be tree hugging, city hopping snipers, but there is a way to end this. Either become more clever, or resort to tactics people believe 'lower' us. Face it, the words from the Ausie just cement this, what does the rest of the world see us as? An armpit. Why? Because we are the bad ass nation we fought to become. Yet we don't exercise our strength and muscle to just anihilate those against us. If we find ONE of these guys, all we need is ONE, then we need a public execution. Alabama still has oak trees, and we all know Texas has plenty of rope.

And Bean's idea of a smart cell is good, much like in "The Siege" only more vocal & frequent. An add on idea. Bean's idea of a cell in a city straight for a month then move onto another. After returning keeping the people in constant fear and shock.

Probably. After all, they have sniper rifles, not guns. Anyway, it proved that Maryland's gun laws don't work, and stricter laws won't make it any better.

Here's how it works

Get 100 people willing to kill Americans

You have five mintues, just enough time to get the people and a Beer nowadays

Now give them the SAME weapon say the Browning A-Bolt Stalker, which besides being a very good and dependable the gun has a excellent name to splash in the media

Now take it to any reptuable Gunsmith and get identical Bore marks on the gunbarrels(Possible but hard expsenive)

Now send said 100 people and guns into the US where they stay under cover for lets say two years(Longer than short term used for Sucided Bombers, but shorter than the avarage *Deep cover jobs)

Anywa on a certian day its Shooter 1's Job to go out, and kill two Americans then DESTROY the gun

Shooter 2 sees reports of shooting on the news now HE 1-4 Days later(only he and the mission giver knows) to go shoot some Americans then Destroy HIS gun

And so on and so-forth, carfuly spreading out people
Though in out case ten is pefect and the last shooter or the fall guy's job is to kill one a day until he is caught where he will go out in a blaze of Glory

And then you can either start over... or send in a new group

As you all might guess, if you look under my avatar, I live not but ten/twenty miles north of where these killings are happening. I have friends who live within blocks of the latest shooting. Its not so much scary as distrubgin the pure lethality and methodicalness of these actions if admittedly the young boy isn't dead yet. I'm just hoping that they either use the incoming FBI help to find the bastard soon or start doing something beeter about surveillance around public places.

Last week while people speculated about the killings being the work of Al Qaeda, it was stated that they might be going to hit schools next.

And here it is. Schoolboy attacked entering school.

Looks like Bin Laden's boys allright.

Which means we might be in for a rough time for the next few months

this is truely horrible... time to let the texans out in my opinion, that would clean out the sniper(s) quickly.

btw, i think we all have to agree that whoever is doing this is one skilled mutherfucker, especially given the weapon used, a .22 rifle, that's a squirrel plinker in my book. doesn't mean i like what's being done, just that the skill is admirable.

This is certainly is troubling. I just hope Congress and the White House respond well, and actually think about what they do, instead of just going with the knee-jerk gotta-do-something reaction.

You just know some big-government save-us-from-ourselves gun control nut is going to sieze on this and try to use it to push a ban on hunting (aka. "sniper") rifles through congress. All they need is a victim's family and the type of gun that was used, and they'll plaster it all over CNN until congress approves the bill.

I'm not trying to turn this into a gun control thread or anything, I just really hope congress is smart enough to realize that banning a particular type of weapon is not going to stop this sort of thing.
