OK, we know the average penis size is 5.5-6 inches. My question is, where does the measurement start? From the top were it connects? From the side where it connects, or all the way back behind the testicals?

Never thought about that...I personally measure from the side.

My understanding is that it is to the top, but I'm not exactly an expert on such things.

Base to tip, usually running along the topside.

For width, measure at the base.

How do you truly find width? Would it be simpler to measure circumfrence and solve? Or try and measure along the front?

Using circumference only works if it's perfectly circular. What I'd do is use the silhouette. Hold a ruler flat against the side and lean back. See where the edges line up and take the difference between the measurements to get the width.

So, is there any sort of reccomended measuring insturment?

From base to tip...my penis is 8.5inches long...which I think is great...not too big...not too small

My dick is average sized at best, and no chick has ever told me it's too small or wished it was bigger. I'm not a porn star, I don't need a king-size pecker. It would make underwear selection and unwanted boners a pain to deal with.
