It's a neat picture. Better even than the famous Brown Lady. Nevertheless, in my experience, photos like this are notoriously unreliable, since 'ghostly' pictures can be artificially reproduced in laboratory experiments (the primary reason that ghost photos aren't seriously examined).

The photo in that link is obviously from a poor quality camera, and I lack the ability to examine it. I would encourage perhaps someone else to examine the illumination on the figure - if it casts a shadow, it should be held highly suspect.

The article also says it was a security camera - but doesn't say how many frames of film the image was captured on. That particularly goes a long way to telling what it could be.

As an aside to the flying doors, look up the famous Hutchison 'poltergeist experiments' for more info.

Bah, was that all? A poor quality JPG, that wouldn't take any amount of time in Photoshop at all. I could take a picture with someone standing IN the doorway, for Chrissake. :P

Does anyone have a bigger version of the pic?

Dubiouser and dubiouser. I wouldn't be surprised if this were a publicity stunt.

It's a palace. I bet their are dozens of secret passages someone could use if they wanted to play ghost.

Am I the only one who thinks that that is really a living person in a costume walking out of a building?

Wow, kinda freaky. Though there are ways to find out if this photo is at least a doctored one, people have been doing it for years.. and getting caught.

Since it's a palace, I would expect there to be more cameras around or at least security that they can cross reference.

I just saw it on the news. Its not just one picture. Its from a security camera, and there are several more pictures in the sequence. The doors fly open, then this guy appears and grabs the doors and slams them shut.

There seems to be a shadow on the ground cast by the "ghost".

I say it's a hoax.

For someone from the Tudor period he seems very familiar with those fiddlesome push-bar-to-open emergency exit panic bolts.

But there are many ghost stories where the ghosts interact with objects in our time.. not just ghostly objects as well.

Wow, this would so totally be a ghost if ghosts existed. It's too bad they don't. Or maybe it isn't too bad; they would cause all kinds of trouble. Fucking ghosts, thinking they're so special.

whats freaky is that the figure did not appear on any of the cameras located in the hallway. It/he/she only appears in the doorway. seems a rather elaberate hoax.

So fake o_O. I was expecting to be scared, but it looks just like a guy closing the door, woop de doo. Although he isn't casting much a shadow XD.

Check the lightning direction - can be judged by the shadow cast by the left door. The sun is positioned in a way that the figure can't really cast any shadow on the outside of the building, and the inside is too dark for us to see.

Second thing about shadows - the figure can't really cast any, since it is covered by the right door - suggesting that the light source comes from the right side of the photo.

Besides, why does a fuckin' ghost need to open the door?

It is either a big fake, or a nicely performed stunt. Either way, the ghost is a fake.

I think we all have to accept that this is the real thing. All those others were fake, but this one's a real live breathing flesh and blood ghost
