Dairy companies may flush 5 million liters of milk down the drain sorry for linking the story in french,did`nt find anything in english,farmers are ready to give the milk for free....

I hear that Australia is dumping millions of litres of wine because of a bumper crop, I'd much rather get some of *that* for free!

Processing/packaging/distribution would be expensive for 5 million litres of milk. Its probably sitting in farmer's holding tanks.

Off hand, at a nickle a litre, that's $250,000. In any case, somebody is going to have to donate a bunch of cash to get this milk to the homeless. That cash might be better invested in other areas.
