Where can I find this toy?

Post by Darth Wong »

My older son is pining for a toy Higgins boat. For those who don't know, the Higgins boat is the infantry landing craft used in WW2. You can see one in Saving Private Ryan.

Has anyone ever seen one, or heard of a place where I can get one?

What scale?

You could try Toys R' Us under the military section.

Oh and he said toy, so I presume he doesn't mean models.

Smart kid, when I was his age I wanted to play with guns and fight the bad guys, he wants to send other people to play with guns and fight enemies.

Not sure if they'll have what you're looking for but the Toys R Us near me carries a lot of the stuff in the Ultimate Soldier line which has some rather large and detailed military toys. The website doesn't appear to show the boat you're looking for but considering all the other stuff I've seen in their line at TRU I wouldn't be shocked if they made one.

Check target. They currently carry a soilders of the world line, or something simmilar to that. They are slowly releasing vechicles. The last one was a navy jeep with an SP.

I should get that for Lonestar. It's close enough, so I can remind him of how he spent Xmas '03. :D

There is one over at the D-Day museum in New Orleans. If you have enough cunning and whits you may be able to jack it under cover of darkness, and sneak it back to Toronto.

For about the same effort you could simply build one.
