The Greatest Artifact in the History of Mankind

These are the words that Walter Donnovan (Julian Glover) uses to describe the Holy Grail in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' which I had the pleasure of receiving for X-Mas and was watching last night.
But it got me thinking. What do you, regardless of age, race, or culture, consider the the Greatest Artifact in the History of Mankind to be?

I would think the Holy Grail. It has much symbolism and such behind it.

Hmmn, tough question. Possibly the Wright Flyer?

But you don't even know if there actually was a holy grail . . .

Well, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, it was a cup that granted immortality, literally.
That would be pretty important if it was really the case.

maybe the great pyramid of Cheops , but I would chose the plaque one the moon with "Here men from the planet earth first set foot upon the Moon July 1969 AD We came in peace for all mankind." if something from the last century is allowed.

But then you have to stay in a boring old cave.

Ooooh, moon plaque, that's a good one.

Absolutely agreed here. That and Voyager 2.

I would have to say that the first written copies of the Christian Bible would be pretty major. Whether you agree with its sayings or not, it and it's believers have affected the course of human history greatly.
EDIT: sorry, stupidity = edit!

Ah, yes. The other great Indiana Jones artifact. The Ark of the Covenant, the holder of the original Ten Commandments. It would be an interesting find, true. Hopefully our faces won't melt off if we find it, though.
Sure, the Grail would be cool, but I think the Ark would be a greater find, seeing that it has been lost for thousands of years and is older than Jesus, much less the cup he drank out of.
But the Moon Plaque would be the greatest, since if we got it from the moon, it's even more proof we have of going to the moon. Of course, that won't stop the conspiracy theorists.

Actually there's a lot of evidence pointing to the Ethiopian Orthodox Christians as being the holders of the Ark. They even have a tradition of using a roughly Ark-like replica in processions on major holy days.
They apparently keep it (whether it's the real thing or not) in a small church out in the middle of nowhere, with a single monk to attend it. There are also rumours of only the pure of heart being able to actually go inside that chapel and see it (allegedly, there was a monk selected once who wasn't completely pure, who was found the next morning lying dead on the floor. Take with a grain of salt.)

Ten thousand years from now, that moon plaque will still be there. You can't say that about too many other things we've made.

If the Holy Grail existed, had the powers it is said to have, and was made by mortal men, it would win hands down. Of the things we know exist, the three Great Pyramids at Giza would be my pick, because they have existed for so long and were created with such simple technology.

Well, barring a nuke or a catastrophic oceanic surge, the Great Pyramid at Giza will still be standing 2000 years from now.

The Great Pyramid is nothing more than glorified dirt-piling. The moon plaque is far more impressive.

Either Water Sanitisation and Purification technologies through the ages, or the establishment of Science-base medical research. Annals of both are available so if you can have the books of the bible then the recorded data on these in either book or electronic form also count.
And for the obligatory silly answer - the String thong and Bikini top.

Hmm, possibly the first human made cart? I mean, without wheeled transport, where would we be today? Then there is the previously mentioned first copy of either the Hebrew Bible or Christian Bible, both of which have, whether you agree with them or not, had a huge impact on society and human development (as was previously said).
