So maybe this will go nowhere, but I had to share this recipe, thought it was too cool to leave out in the cold, hence, a dinner party/fancy meal recipe thread, can fish the exact particulars out later, but this was a Boxing Day finale piece.

Take x number of chillis, put a fine slit in them and remove seeds from interior, leave to marinade in good vodka for a day. Make a good chocolate sauce, 60-70% cocoa solids and all that, and carefully push it into the chilli interior, then seal the chilli by dipping it in chocolate, chill until chocolate is solid and chilli sealed.

Serve on top of a shot of vodka and try and get the balls to eat it.

Result? You have to drink the vodka and eat the chilli at the same time, but it's an amazing combination, go forth and be fruitful, children of the night!

Misuse of the word posh then, I was thinking the sort of stuff you can serve in a sort of fancy evening meal way, this isnt exactly caviar, but I was going more of simple, elegant and classy (I mean, come on, we used smirnoff vodka :P), yes, it's not exactly dinner at the Ritz, but it's certainly something I'm going to tuck away for future reference, I thought it was a pretty cool way to end the meal, noone was expecting it, and it was hardly a drinking game, just something that you didnt think would be edible, but actually was. (Just about...)

*writes down cucumber sandwich recipe*

But if I cut the crusts off, I won't get curly hair... :(
