okay. . . .i've noticed that there's been a few questions about custom titles since i've been here, and when i first signed on i didn't see anything about how to get one on the announcement forum. would there be any possibility of getting what to do to get a custom (non-offensive) title posted in that section as a sticky or something? it'd likely be helpful. (wasn't sure where to post this so i figured off-topic would work.)

also, one more thing. the other day i got some pop-up asking me to change my password in the next 600 days or something when i signed in. any particular reason for that?

Try the Announcement forum. Most people ignore it, but I personally try and look into it for sites.

C'mon, you think the Mods wouldn't have something like that in there? You think they could possibly overlook something so blindingly obvious and something which has been asked over and over again, that they are so dense they wouldn't think to post it in there?

Well, no matter what you think the answer is to that, the truth is, it is in there. Go looking for it.

And if that doesn't help, just take my usual stock answer: Donate a lot to the PayPal button.

Titles are not user-editable on this board. Custom titles are available by request only for people who have made a significant contribution to this board. This category includes moderators, usergroup leaders, notable personalities and persons with exceptionally high non-spam postcounts (>2500 posts).

Custom titles are only available to individuals who meet the above criteria. Title requests must be made to Darth Wong or the other Admins. Warning: persons who request a title without meeting the criteria may be tarred and feathered, or worse.

New version of the board software, I think. Or some new option turned on. Either way, we all got it, I think. Change your password and it goes away.

errm, i did browse through the announcements forum. thoroughly. i don't recall seeing it in there. . . . .the only thing i remember seeing were a list of titles and what one had to do to get on the shit list. if i had seen it i wouldn't have posted this thread. and i already know what it takes to get a custom title, as i've seen it posted in threads before. i wasn't asking what it took to get one if you'd read the OP. just asking to get what it took posted in the announcements section.
