Congrats, all that Spam got us somewhere.
Though SB.com is still ahead as are a couple of other forums I frequent, but this place is more... unique.

That's actually higher than I would have thought, considering our ... eclectic nature, not to mention the number of huge mainstream boards out there. But you have to take those web ratings with a grain of salt anyway; they don't measure traffic directly. It's more like the Nielsen ratings for TV shows, where they monitor a small sample group based on some trick (such as a browser toolbar) and then extrapolate from their traffic to the entire population.

There are different tables too, I think we're MUCH higher in top phpBB boards, say the top 20 I think. I expect us to rise up through Alexa.com's rankings too.

SD.Net is #8 on the posts/member ratio. Obviously, our MODs have done a fair job at keeping SPAM low....so far....

Actually, there is the option of rating by posts made in the last week (which is much more fair, given the age of the board), and we then are the
176th, for the SB 253
And the ratio posts/members is
even better

Hey, at least Mike is eager to do it and we can actually do it in a lifetime. I bring this up with Kier at SB.com loads of times and nothing is done because out of the 1.5M members, around 3,000 post at all.

Since we have 3 pages of 0 post members, and many many pages before any truely active members, we could be insanely high if Mike got rid of those accounts.

We are apparently the 289,978 most popular website on the Internet, with 152 pages linking to the main site, and 30 to the board. In comparison, Spacebattles is number 1,253,274, with 182 links to it.
Rapture Ready is 35,010. Shudder.

RR is a frighteningly scary webboard chock full of homophobes, racists, conspiracy theorists, fundies, Creationists, and other dimwitted idiots. I did notice, with some amusement, that Net Nanny or a similar program will block Rapture Ready due to 'intolerance'.
