I was flipping through the channels tonight, and came across some Revelations-paranoid-type christian movie. You know the kind: One-world government and all that crap. Who should be starring in it? Mr T. Mr.-fucking-T.

Yeah, Mr. T's career has been in the shithouse for quite some time. I'm surprised he waited this long.

Mr.T is a somewhat outspoken Christian-borderline fundie, and he makes the occasional appearance on Trinity Broadcast Network's fundraisers and other programming.

It's a perfect example of what happens when your career fizzles.

By the way, did he ever say "I pity da foo who mess with G!" in the movie?

Is he wearing the big gold chains?

Thank god I never watched or cared about the guy, otherwise this news might have concerned me.

Ahh, what do you expect? Sure, Mr. T is regarded as "cool" by the folks at Grudge Match, but we're talking about a guy whose sole claim to fame is his preposterously stylized diction.

Um, he was also B.A. Baracus on the A-Team. It's hard to explain, but for some reason watching the A-Team growing up has made me unable to not like Mr. T. I'm sure people will say "So the what if he was on the A-Team?" but it had a profound effect on my formative years. Don't ask me why. It's the same reason why Dwight Schultz' neurotic character on ST:TNG never really bothered me.

The A-Team? The show where both sides in every fight would fire off hundreds of rounds of ammo at each other without a single casualty?

Why, yes, and I liked it anyway, because my enjoyment of campy 80s television doesn't depend on people actually hitting each other.
