Which words serve no purpose, and you think should be removed from the language?

And everything like that. It just doesn't sound all that right to me. Like someone took the language and mutilated it for their own sick, twisted schemes.

Flammable or Inflammable, pick one.

Anything a gangsta rapper uses.

And the flammable/inflammable thing pisses me off, also. I lost a mark on a high-school chemistry test due to that, thought inflammable was nonflammable.

Shit really is far more versatile and heavily used.

shit and fuck are pretty interchangable but fuck extends itself into uses that shit simply doesnt apply to.

"I fucked her"
"fuck off"
"fuck you"
"fucking asshole"

i guess the only advantage to shit is that it can be used as a object and noun itself--"eat shit", "shit head", "in deep shit", "i have to take a shit"--but personally i find substituting fuck into most of those works just as well; the only exclusive use of shit is when it actually refers to the bodily function of expelling feces--"i have to take a shit" for example cannot be used with fuck because it changes the meaning. But otherwise, fuck is much more versatile because unlike shit, it has no real meaning and can be fitted into any possible situation (you could even use it in the above example--"i have to take a fucking shit").

Shit really is far more versatile and heavily used.

PS: I don't think any word should be removed from the dictionary or language. the great thing about English is that it absorbs everything.

definitely get rid of leet. i'd also get rid of the word Xtian. not Christian, Xtian. it's annoying hearing someone use the word Xtian. . . .imo it's the 'pagan/wiccan/satanic/whatever' version of leet.
