If all goes as planned this thread will be split into countries and I will be responsible for SDN meet ups...

So, who'd be willing to meet other SDN members in an orginised meet up in their country/state? Or if you already have, how did it go? Would you do it again?

Seems like a cool idea, but in Australia, there's too few of us too far apart.

Since I want to take a vacation out to California and Vegas this summer, I may be able to meet up with quite a few SDNetters. One can hope, anyway.

I'd be up for the idea, assuming it took place in Calgary, and I had the time.

Assuming there are an equal number of people from the 3 Eastern cities (Melbourne Sydney and Brisbane), it might be easier to meet in Sydney as it is central, but I wouldn't rule out going to Brisbane.

Virgin blue have some cheap flights soming up. I might book one in advance. Even if it is called off, $80 for a flight to sydney and back is still a deal for a weekend hol.

Perhaps just a quick meetup in each eastern city to see what numbers we have, then think about an eastern meetup in one of the capitals?

I can head up to vegas for a meet up, it's only 3 hours away and less then 45 klicks as the sparrow flys. Give me some details.

Also me, pellaeons_scion (both in SA), and I think Chris O' farrell.
Hocho and oblique are also aussies, but they don't watch the board much, and wouldn' come to anything. There was an aussie thread back when I first joined.

I'd be up for any possible UK meet. But if my dads boees act like dicks again, like they're threatening to, it might go the way of the pear. Just tell me when and where, also give me plenty of warning because flights to the main land cost 100 quid, but if you book early you can cut that down to about 75/50. Did i mention Belfast is a nice city to visit.

I'd be up for a UK meetup after June, when I get back home. Obviously, cost would be a factor, as well as possible summer job/researrch project work.

I'd be up for a UK meet, though attendance would depend on my uni timetable, time of family holiday and the location of the meet among other things.

Anybody interested in a Southeastern US meet in Knoxville, TN? If so, contact me at nf_utvol*nospam*@yahoo.com (obviously, remove *nospam*). Knoxville is a fairly central location in the northeastern southeast, and has plenty of meeting spots.

I'm in Baltimore and Philadelphia occasionally, and I understand a few SD.nutters live there. I might meet up with them some time, since I have places I'm fairly sure I can crash at if I do.

I would be interested in a meetup in the Southwestern United States. I know we have a few members in this area. And I may be able to get as far as california this summer.

I also plan on attending the American Atheists convention in San Diego this easter.

Hmm.. depending on when I go back to ABQ, meets in CA/Vegas/Arizona would definitely be viable for me (even though ABQ is in NM).
