Dreams dreams dreams..

For this past winter break I've not had ONE peaceful nights sleep!
A lot of my dreams deals with a future war here in the United States. I'm a soldier and I'm either fighting terrorists or some form of highly organized fighting unit. I don't know who they are, except they have no fear of bombing buildings all the time or launching gas attacks even on their own men. I guess it happens a lot in my dream world since I feel desensitized to them. I was watching a building full of burning and screaming civilians and felt nothing but the need to do my job and storm the next building over.
I remember a gas attack, where I worried about my mask being on secure enough or whether I secured it on time. Then I remember walking the streets and shooting people who were gagging and struggling since they were going to die, I felt no remorse, I only knew I was putting them out of their misery.
Also constantly recurring in my dreams is this girl I used to like. I don't know why she keeps reappearing.. but nothing sexual or anything like that. We usually are just sitting down and talking. Talking about this or that, nothing important. Except one time she appeared in one of my little apocalypse dreams. I had come in from a gas attack and was to escort a group of medical personnel out to the field, and she tried to go to help too. But I grabbed her roughly by the arm and literally almost threw her back into the bunker.
Ugh.. dreams.

I had a dream a few nights ago where both my accounting teachers told me I was worthless and would never graduate on the same day. The second one was particularly brutal. I was very relieved when I woke up.

That's supremely weird, man. Any ideas as to what might be the cause?

Maybe a glimpse of the future? Those dreams are uber-realistic and continuous. Not like different scenarios, or even different uniforms for that matter! Kinda freaky in that respect.

I hate all you people who can have normal dreams that make any fucking sense!
Here's my most recent one: I'm running through a cemetary at night. I'm not wearing anything special, but it seems to be a costume (I don't normally wear bomber jackets or leather pants with knee high Nazi boots) There's a HUD which displays my health, stats and score. I'm fighting female ghosts, and I'm doing damn good because I have a pouch full of magic stones that when thrown explode like some kind of metaphysical grenade. But just when I'm about half way done the announcer (It's kind of like a game show) changes the rules on me. Instead of my pouch o' elfstones I've got two of those dinky little revolvers (you know, like the ones women carry in their purses) and they don't do jack shit to the ghost bitches, who then proceed to kick my ass, and I "loose" (die).
Yes, I plan to donate my brain to science when I die.

i try not to put too much stock into dreams myself. though the other night i had some rather bizarre dream involving watching two lesbian chicks doing the hip grind thing and seeing bun-bun (who was blue for some reason) get tossed into an arena of doom while the chicks were going at it.

The thing I like about dreams (the good ones, anyways) is that when you dream, you always feel like you've slept more than you actuallly did.

I keep seeing my dad in my dreams every now and again. But I haven't seen him in years.

Hmm, I sometimes dream that I'm a soldier too. I'm normally trying to fight some sort of terrorists/criminals/aliens. I desperately try to shoot at my enemies, but the bullets never find their mark. I suspect that this is my subconscious trying to tell me something. Possibly that I'm a lousy shot.
I also occasionally have really really weird dreams. Like the one where the world was invaded by the Fraggles, who gather everyone together in the local shopping centre to tell us all that they are now our rulers, then proceed to run amok around the city. I really hope that this dream is not my subconscious trying to tell me something because I shudder to think what that something might be.

I usually have the "running away from an unescapable menace" type of dreams that people frequently have. They usually occur when i have some sort of unresolved internal issues--i guess the "unescapable menace" is representative of the issues im trying to run away from but cant escape. The strangest part about these dreams is that the "unescapable menace" is always personified by the Terminator. Yes, the unspeaking, cold, relentless killing machine of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no idea why this is--i guess ever since i was 3 or 4 when i first watched the first film, the unescapable slasher of the Terminator left such an impression on me that it is permanently imprinted in my brain. In fact Arnolds cold performance in the original picture still scares the shit out of me. Whenever the issue that need resolving gets resolved (whatever it may be, sometimes i'm not even aware of what it is) the dreams abruptly stop.
The weirdest dream involved me taking on Nazi's with a machine gun and a rocket launcher onboard a giant wooden ship. No scratch that--the weirdest dreams were the ones in which i died. One where i commit suicide (i guess this symbolises my want for change within myself--killing my old self as it were) and another one in which i somehow leave the known universe and am left alone in this black limbo void that sorta felt like i had died; the latter one was very terrifying, its very hard to describe and was intensely real.

Yeah, I one time had a Nazi dream too. I was a German soldier inside of a bunker and the allies were advancing. I was looking outside of a firing port with my kar98 rifle and firing. It was kinda fun, working the bolt, aim, fire and watch the guy drop.

One semi-reoccuring dream(had it about four times) that is wierd as fuck is me running through these endless backyards. Jumping over fences, around pools, through clothes lines, etc while being chased by sharks. They would jump after me (think how the dolphins one that one Simpsons episode moved, but way faster). In one of those dreams though I realised it was a dream and it became lucid so I walked out into the middle of the street with a M-16/grenade launcher, that was one fun/fucked ending

I had a dream about Simon Cowell from Pop Idol last night. His office was my sisters house and he was hireing me to think of random insults for him. In each show he did he'd be wearing an ear piece and i'd think of somethign appropriately insulting for each contestant.
The funny thing is i hate Pop Idol and other such shows with a passion. But in my dream i turned into a shameless kiss ass.

Extremely unusaual and unexplainable dreams. Maybe they carry some omnious meaning or you have an overactive imagination.

I rarely remember dreams, except that sometimes I'll have vague premonitions of 'wrong' around. I've also had dreams in which I'm in deep, deep trouble, and I keep snapping back to it through the day as if it was true. I've also had a couple lucid dreams, which are really, really cool.

Last night, I had my second dream in the past few months that was about me making a giant fool of myself at school to the point where I couldn't do anything about it. I hate those dreams, especailly since, to an extent, there's some truth to them. It must be one of those recurring themes.

So you also have after-exam nightmares?
Mine only occur AFTER I get final grades. Then I start having nightmares that I overslept and missed a final or forgot to turn in a project or something that causes me to fail. I wake up and realize, hey, I got a B in that class so why am I dreaming about it now? It's never a class where I got an A; it's always one where I got a B. Don't know why.

Most of my dreams revolve around classwork (and I have graduated from college) or work. During college I worked in the library and each semster we had to clean up the shelves. So its getting on time for this and I dreamed that had reorganized and cleaned up every shelve in the place, from A-Z. Then I woke up, and then I had to go to work and actually do it. I was so tempted to charge 8 hours for my dream, especially since I woke up dead tired.
My wirest recent dream involved an all out nuclear war, and I ended up in some rag-tag milita trying to survive. I had those dreams after seeing T3.
One time, I realized I was dreaming and decided to play Superman. That was fun.
The dreams I love and hate the most involve girls that I've met, usually ones I went to high school with. I've got them in car and they're enjoying my company (something *never* happened in high school - most of them barely acknowledged my existant). Things go well and they start to lift up their shirts. And then the dream ends right there! Each and every fucking time!

How about the fucking dreams where you're at work. Dream about being at work, what a sham! Then you wake up and go to work. Fucking hate that shit.

One of my more recent dreams was where I was surfing kgivler board, and someone was making an avatar for me, and saying something about Volk being Ender's advisor (speaking of the Ender from
Ender's Game, not the one from here).
