Care to join me in having a whinge about the ridiculously hot weather we're having? I spent yesterday sitting in the computer lab at Uni in an effort to escape the heat. And it's not even term-time.
Wah!

Could be worse. I'm trapped in the house with the rest of my family because of the fucking snow and icestorm. I was just lucky that I flew in on Monday before the airport was closed.

Australian summer heat is not the fun warmth you'd think it is.
I love the cold.

You should all pop down to Adelaide. Our summer has been relatively mild so far.

I'm always up for a good whinge.
We Brisbane dwellers expect it to get hot during summer. It's the way things are. But the last few days have bordered on the ridiculous. My house was a toasty 32C - at 2AM. That's just wrong.

Gah! I looked at the weather report yesterday & thought 'Oh Hell, it's not going to be
that hot is it?', then realised that I was looking at the minimum temp.

You poor bastard.
I was caught in a shopping center a couple of years ago (think it was the Hyperdome, or possibly Garden City) when the aircon shit itself. That was fun.

Few of us have them in our homes, and even then they cost a bundle to run.

when I hear people die in England during a heat wave that hits 40 (a normal summer temperature in Brisbane and Melbourne) I think theyre stupid and probably don't know HOW TO DRINK WATER

Why is it that half the goddamn Australians here appear to be from that hell hole known as Queensland?

Or an icy-cold glass of Bundy rum & coke, as the case may be.
