Looking for a particular movie

It's a late 70s movie, involving a gang trying to get back to it's home turf but meeting variosu other gangs along the way (the lizzies were one I think), and towards the end there was this one scene of a guy repeating the gangs name over and over while clinking coke bottles on his fingertips together. I saw some of it once and now I want to watch it all the way through and was wondering if anyone knew what film it was?

I'm pretty damn sure thats The Outsiders or something like that, I think I was made to watch it in English once...years ago now...when I was young. *Sigh*

Banned? Why? Is that the movie where there's a baseball gang where they dress up like baseball players and beat people up with baseball bats? And then there was the woman gang that tried to seduce the gang? And the black lady with the afro who kept announcing messages from the rival gang(s?) on the radio to the gang trying to get back to their turf?
That was a pretty good movie.
