Blues? Hmmm... As far as the famous ones go, I'll have to say Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Sarah Vaughn (she's not exactly blues, but she rocks).

As for my beloved struggling artists, there's an excellent local blues band led by a man named Christopher James which is one of my favourites. His older stuff in particular is really fantastic. Also really cool that I was friends with 80% of the band, but it's really good music anyway. I've gotten over a dozen people hooked on Chris James because I play his CD all the time.

Jake & Elwood Blues. :P

I seriously actually like their music (not implying it's bad, but it sounds tacky citing the blues brothers in a conversation about blues).
