The Road to the Superbowl is Laid Bear

By this time tommorow it will be decided which two teams will face one another in the greatest championship game of all championship games: the Superbowl.

Take your pick; who's going, who's not? Personally, Philly's my team so I gotta root for them, even if they've had a bad history in the NFC Championship game. And I also say Indy wins because, holy shit, Peyton Manning is the fucking king of quarterbacks.

If Philly wins, I want New England to win, because we match up better against them. Peyton Manning, frankly, will tear us a new asshole.

If the Panthers win, well, then, I'm a Colts fan, because I'd love to see Peyton Manning tear the Panthers a new asshole.

The winner?

Whichever network carries the games. Talk about raking in the dough...

I'm hoping Eagles-Pats. Mostly because I think that would be the most enjoyable game.

...Errr, have to heartily disagree with you on that point, dear.

And since GB didn't get in, I say go Pats! And whoever else.

Being a rabid Pats fan my AFC choice is obvious (watch for me on TV! SEC 110 ROW 13!)

I like the Eagles. i think Donovan McNabb is a hell of a guy and they deserves at least a trip to the big dance. That would be an ideal matchup as far as i'm concerbed. But I am sorry Red, all goodwill towards Philly goes out the window upon their meeting of New England in Houston.

I don't want New England to win, but because Indy has no defense, per se, this sure as hell isn't going to be that close of a game, and that means that New England actually has a pretty decent chance of winning.

In the Philly Carolina, I think Philly deserves the win, but they aren't that great. But, then again, neither is Carolina, especially after last weeks exhausting affair. Too close to really call, but with an edge to Philly.

I'm for Philly-NE.

Mostly because this year I think Philly wants to get to the big game bad enough, and NE has an uncanny ability to win at home even when they play like crap, even against teams like Indy.

And of course I think that Eagles-Pats is the only chance for an NFC team upsetting an AFC team in the Superbowl.

Kick-off in 20 minutes!

Eagles have to win, because if they do, we all get to beat the fuck out of that one idiot Panthers fan at school.

Since I'm a bitter, sore, bad looser, I want Indy to go down in flames today. Philly and the Pat's.

So, I'm watching NE and IND. They're flashing to some of the fans, usualy in 1700's type garb and hats. But there is this one guy rooting for the Pats with a Darth Vader suit on, complete with helmet and facemask.

I think I have just seen Col. Crackpot. :P

Wow.

Peyton Manning is not having a very good day.

Were you the guy in the Darth Vader helmet making throat cutting motions?

Like I thought it would, the game turned on defense.
Ty Law and the Pats stepped up their game.

Indy's defense did so-so, not championship level.

Congrats to the Patriots.

Fucking god damn murderers. Did you see that late hit to McNabb? No call. They should've been fucking disqualified for that shit. To hell with Carolina, trying to kill our quarterback. Hey fuck you Carolina, I hope NE ruins your shit in the Superbowl.

Actually, that was a perfectlly legal hit. Besides they were already losing before McNabb was injured, so you really can't blame it on his injury.

Seconded. The hit was good.

What a disgrace. What a fucking inexcusable, unmitigated disgrace.

Let's review: turnovers, 4. Sacks, 5. Dropped passes, 6. I don't care about the hit on McNabb. I don't care about the refs, I don't care about Delhomme's miracle throw, I don't care about the injuries--all that is bullshit next to those numbers. You don't win football games if your line can't hold, you can't protect the ball, and you can't fucking catch.

What a bunch of fucking mutts.

EDIT: Dishonorable mention to the defense for having Deshaun Foster stuffed at the three and letting him score the touchdown anyway.

Fuck no the hit wasn't good, McNabb's original tackler had torn McNabb's shoe off instants after his knee was down. He was down by contact. The play had been over for about three seconds, and some asshole comes barreling in and wallops McNabb in the worst possible way.

And it doesn't matter whether or not they were already losing. A) there should've been a personal foul, but B) there would've been plenty of time for a comeback had he not been the victim of an attempted murder.

Bah, Payton ain't pretty. Not attractive at all. See, talent is attractive, and Payton doesn't have any. :P

Now...Brett Favre, on the other hand, is quite talented and QUITE sex-ay. *Rowr!* He's beeyootiful.
