Funny Quote from Bruce Sterling

In his book, Tomorrow Now, on page 50, he's talking about absurd American optimism and enthusiasm. He says, "It is not very American to know how to make coherent intellectual sense. It's rare for Americans to have their children understand what they're talking about when they reminisce. But to be optimistic despite everything you've come to know about history is very American."

How true, how true. Especially regarding making intellectual sense. :)

Whoops I mistook Bruce Sterling for Rod.:D
Though having him say that would be even more interesting.
A good quote nonetheless.
