I love words, and I was thinking about this this afternoon. Of all the words in all the languages, which is your absolute favorite, and why?

I just love this word. It's fun to say and it's the absolute perfect word for a complete and total clusterfuck. For example, "That NFC Championship game was a fiasco." Saying it makes me feel better.

Genius, i say it all the time, even in ways which make it not match the definition.... people look at me funny

Alright. Its one of those cornerstone pieces of my speech pattern that snuck in there from force of habit. That and variations of the word Fuck...

Bastion. I just love that word and saying it outloud jibes with its meaning.

I don't care if it's a "real" word or not, it's still a word and i like it! And since when did it have anything to do with rap? I just thought it was a common celebration.

1) "Booyah" isn't ebonics.

2) Neither you nor Lizzie nor Merriam Webster nor anyone else is the arbiter of what is and isn't a real word. Ebonics is as legitimate a form of communication as the King's English, and if a group of sounds within it carry a specific meaning to those who understand the dialect, then it's a real word.

I'm fond of 'annihilation'. There are two silly stories behind it. I'd heard the word when I was little, but didn't know its spelling until much later. When I finally learned the spelling, I was surprised since it didn't match up to my expectations from the pronounciation. It amused me so much that I remembered that little incident.

Plus, yet another idiot teacher story. So the teacher is putting up vocabulary words for English. One of them is annihilation. Well, this teacher obviously hadn't had the moment I'd had when I was little, so he looked at the word and said, "You first word is...ann-eh-hill-ation." Unfortunately, just about the entire class repeated "ann-eh-hill-ation" as they wrote it down.

Plus, what's not to like about total destruction?
