Well, I'm disapointed.
I was hoping it was going to be a religious hoax or something, instead of a cow eating a mislaid sack o' gems.
But that has got to be the first time "pooping" has made it into a headline there!

I was all set to make the obvious 'sacred cow' joke, but deicded against it for a variety of moral, ethical and political reasons.

If they were intelligent they would have surgicaly removed the diamonds from the cow. But this is India, a country where cows are worshipped as Gods.

Basicaly the same thing. The hard core hindu parties in India like the VJP and the RSS regularly campaign for a cow rights law. If they ever succed killing or hurting or abusing a cow will become a punitive offense.

Surgically remove hundreds of small diamonds from an animal with multiple stomachs, as well as an intestinal system designed to maximize nutrient consumption from a pretty crappy source.
