Ok I have a bet going with a friend, and I need everyone's opinion on the best way to Duct Tape him to the chair without him getting away.

I have 1 roll of 'original' duct tape (very good stuff) its 180 feet long.

the rules are,
he gets 1 pocket knife in his hands, closed, and 60 minutes to get out of the chair, i can put DT anywhere I want besides his face and neck.


He will be sitting in your everyday white plastic patio chair with arm wrests and 4 legs.

So what is the best way to keep him in that chair for 60 minutes?
He's in the military and says he's been trained to get out, of ROPE, but not DT, so he's not a moron, but he's not used to this.

I'm going to DT his hands into fists, the knife burried under 3 inches of duct tape.




left hand 5 feet (and DT to the arm wrest)
right hand 5 feet

left leg 10 feet (DT to the chair leg, feet off the ground)
right leg 10 feet

thighs 20 feet (wrapped to the seat)


chest 130 feet (or 32 wrap arounds)


is this the best way?

comments please! i don't want to lose 40 bucks

I would suggest starting when they're unconcious somehow. Perhaps have them sit in the chair, and drug them with something.

Near his elbows and wrists and other joints i would've thought.

simply wrapping the arms to the rests, the legs to the legs and the thighs to the base of the chair removes all leverage, with the wrists trapped firm against the arm rests they can't manuver the knife enough to get out. and if you do it tight enough they can't find enough play to break the chair apart hollywood style.

For the knife, I'd probably on the outside-back of their upper arm.

arms DT'ed to the arms of the chair still allows him to pull up and sideways, what if i wrapped them AROUND the chair, behind his back, and then duct taped them back there?

He's full of shit. I was in the military. A shit bird in my platoon needed a lesson on how to take his booze. Meaning he was drunk and beligerent. We duct taped him to a chair and set him out of the barracks for the night.

In the morning, he was still there and had pissed himself because he couldn't get out. Because DT is that good.


Tape his hands to the arm rests. Tape his legs to the legs of the chair. Tape his chest to the back rest. Tape his hips to the the bottom of the chair.

End result. He can't move.
