Foreign Language Dub of DVDs

I am interested in finding a source for Spanish dubbed DVDs or even videotapes of shows and movies. Many DVDs have spanish langauge tracks but some of the really good films (LOTR, Matrix, B-5 Series) do not. I know they must sell these since spanish speaking nations need LOTR and B-5 Season DVDs in Spanish.

It would be for my mom who speaks little english but LOVES movies like LOTR and the Matrix and I would like to introduce her to B-5. Any sources I could investigate would be fine, but my only other concern woudl be this regional shit on DVD players, if the dubs are on a region not North American then they are most likely not worth it for me.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

All the DVDs that are sold here are in spanish too. Including Matrix. Most of them are bootlegs tho.

Eh, well, some people around here buy them legit at the stores, hehe.

Oh yeah, it's doubtful that they will work, unless you have a regionless player. We all have regionless players here. Or you can buy an extra DVD player and change the region or something (you can only do that a limited amount of times and then it's buh-bye player), I'm not sure if that's only for DVD-ROM.

Why in the bloody hell do they have regions on DVD players anyway?

Hmm. I watched Spaceballs in French with Spanish subtitles once.

Because they're control freaks. They want to decide who and when watches what, and how. Ok, maybe not how.
