Hmm, wonder if you could do that with a guitar?

Seen it. Listen to the audio. It appears he failed at making a real instrument because it sounds like crap.

Could be recording quality, but LEGO isn't known for acoustics.

Well, come on.. it's made out of fucking pieces of plastic.. of course it's going to sound like crap.

But good lord, he really has too much time on his hands, but it's people like him that enable me to waste 5 minutes of my otherwise boring Sunday.

Well, harpsichords in general aren't all that melodic. I'll listen to the clip after I'm done with Beethoven's 9th symphony, the choral finale. (I'm trying out for the opening bass solo and have to get this down.)

Trytostaydead is right. Of course it ain't gonna have good aucustics, it's made out of semi-hollow plastic. There's no way in hell it's gonna sound good.

Although it doesn't sound all that great, the fact that it's built entirely out of Lego blocks is still pretty impressive. I'm amazed that it didn't fall apart or not play at all.

That was my point. Someone actually managed to build one that would work.

Yeah, if I had that many LEGO's, I'd friggin make a huge-ass add-on to my Imperial Base. Making a musical instrument out of LEGO's is pointless. Make something cool like a castle or a space base or something. That's what they are for!

Thanks:
- Robert Portillo, for expertise and wire
- Umberto Belfiore, for recording and helping with the lid
- Eric Harshbarger, for leg attachment assistance
- Mike Wong, for bumping into it and dude, proving just how stable it is
- UCLA Music Library, for reference material
The coincidence was too great for me to pass up.
