PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Someone lifted a 170-pound bronze statue of Yoda, the "Star Wars" Jedi master.

The theft from a flatbed truck was reported to police last weekend and artist Lawrence Noble, 55, of Crestline has offered a $1,000 reward for its return. The limited-edition bronze is worth up to $20,000.

"It's a real high-end collectible," Noble said.

I don't see anything saying the statue didn't just get up by itself and walk off.

Why do I suddenly have this vision of a bunch of rapid Star Wars fans worshipping it as a representative of George Lucas
or
Acolytes of Darkstar trying to destroy it as a representation of evil

my bet is on rabid wars fans stealing the statue and moving it to someone's secret underground basement "temple." which is simply someone's mother's basement designed to be a temple.

Perhaps instead they are melting it down to use the metal for other purposes...

Yes, they're using it to build the frame to a gigantic nude portrait of Amidala and Leia.

Hell, Jar-Jar could have a threesome on his own, god only knows how many genitalia he has... the Amidala, Leia Jar-Jar could result in some interesting positions.

Can't forget the old people!

WITH PINK FOAM!

Okay, I'll stop.

Uhh, I burned an old Yoda doll of mine awhile back... I was bored, and had lots of extra lighter fluid. 'Twas fun.

You'd think a $20,000 statue would have more protection. Or maybe the guy who pinched it was indeed a Sith.

Why would somebody take a $1K reward for something they could sell for $20K?

The thiefs must be big Star Wars fans to steal such a heavy and expensive statue.

Yeah, I think he was. But I still haven't been able to fit it through my door.
