All I know is, they won't be inviting them back next year for an encore performance.

Personally I don't think it is funny. Planned or not. If it was planned it is IMO very annoying.
News on Yahoo! Launch wrote: Jackson's official Web site was bombarded with angry postings. Her spokeswoman, Jennifer Holiner, said a red lace garment was supposed to remain when Timberlake tore off the outer covering.

It's planned. Janet admitted it.

Edit: Replaced "faked" with "planned" to clear up the meaning. I originally meant that her apparent surprise was fake.

Planned.

I just wish it could have happened to someone other than Janet. Beyonce, perhaps.

This whole thing has gone way out of control. First the disclaimer, yes it was pretty distasteful due to the forum that it was done at. She shouldn't have done it.

That being said, my god. The hoopla over this is insane. People petitioning the FCC to revoke CBS's licnece, massive emails to MTV and NFL.

Maybe I only got the basic TV coverage of the Super Bowl. When I saw Janets little peep show, it was panned out to show the whole stage. When the cup came off, her tit was roughly quarter of an inch on the screen.

I was watching it with four grown men of various ages ranging from early twenties to early fifties, nobody jumped to the screen and there was no tale tale *clink clink clink* of pelvic thrusts onto my TV screen. While by context, I knew what it was, you really couldn't make much out except it was a whit piece of flesh with a shinney thing on it (which was my clue that it was planned). My boy was in the room and it didn't phase him.

To be honest, I saw more from the snow beach volley ball comercial (the one chicks nipples were huge) than the fuzzy small pixal of Janets boob.

Ontop of all that, these people are bitching about that tinny tiny little boob when they're watching a violent sport (and I so love that violent sport) drinking their beer and eating their nasty ass junk food. Giggling at sexed up comercials and oogling the cheerleaders.

But by god, a naked boob at 100 meters. Think of the impact that has on my children.

Wow, I'm the only one who thinks this is an accident? It's like Twelve Angry Men only completely stupid.

I'm inclined to say its was planned. IMHO, if it were an accident, they would have practiced it before. If it were truelly a costume malfunction, there would have been no need to hide a 'PG-13' move from MTV.

------------

I didn't see the full course of events, as the TV cut-away right after it happened. But the news last night, one a guy who was there said Janet
and Juston both looked upset after it happened.

From what I read today: 'evidently' the red part of the dress was supposed to stay on.

Except that she already said it was planned, in such away that the boodice (sp?) was suppost to be ripped away but (she says) that the red bra type lacy thingy was suppost to stay.

The head of the FCC has announced plans for a federal-level inquiry into this matter. All I have to say is:

GET A FUCKING LIFE, AMERICA.

That is all.

It is so pathetic, that American media seems to be run by prudes.

What is the problem with a naked tit, anyway?

If a kid sees a breast between ages 2 and 16, they'll be warped for life! ;)

So agree. If you take the four hours of super bowl in context, what is a half a second of tit seen from 100 meters compared to dozens of cheerleaders bouncing around, comercials with hard nippled snow volley ball, a guy getting his kilt blown up, half dozen half dressed back up dancers for the half time show, plus all the booze and bad junk food in just about every house watching the super bowl.

Who fucking cares? The entire goddamn incident is such a non-story it isn't even funny. Fucking MSNBC, they're talking about this shit like every hour now. Jesus! It's a fucking tit, people!

Yeah, I was saying that the the accidental bit was the red lace bra coming off along with the tear-away bodice.

I agree with Mike's "Get A Life" view and the observations of others that there was a helluva lot more going on in that telecast that promotes sexuality than the split-second viewing of Ms. Jackson's mammaries.

This whole thing is being blown way out of proportion and I'm truly dismayed to think some of my tax dollars may be used to fund a conservative witch hunt to, basically, find out which 8 year old Victoria's Secret sweat shop worker fucked up the stitching on Janet's push up bra. :P

Yes it's just a tit. But it's a tit on network television during the most watched event of the year.

If Shrub gets re-elected on a No-Tits-on-TV platform, you can color me Canadian, Mike. 8)

I didn't even notice until everyone started going on about it. Yeah, it's a publicity stunt, but WHO THE FUCK CARES? I wonder how many tax dollars it will cost to figure out who exactly was responsible and all that? Aside from being a really heinous nipple ring, I fail to see why the hell this is news.

For ya'll saying big deal how come there are so many threads on it here?

I'm more interested in the results of the Lingerie Bowl. Anyone catch that?

God damn... SOme people have no lives.

I read in the Reuters story on this, people wanted the FCC to do something about the Victoria's Secret fashion show on ABC. *gasp* Victoria's Secret fashion show? Who would've ever guessed it could be racy?

As for this (and in the same Reuters story, they mentioed an FCC investigation into Bono saying "fucking brilliant" during a live presentation on NBC), yeah, CBS can really control what's gonna happen during a live broadcast. I think that pulling away like that (and, from what I ehard since I didn't see it, a very quick commercial break) was the best they could've done.

And as I side note, when I looked at the article yesterday, it had two pictures: one of the breast, the other of her covering up. Now all have just her covering up (or so it seems from the ones, out of many, that I viewed).

And you can see alot more on any beach during the summer...heck, just walk through my campus on a hot day and you'll see plenty of female skin.

Does the madness never end?
