What was the shitties death to you?

Pointless death of a character that was unfitted for them.

Obvious ones come to mind, Kirk for one. Kirk should of gone down saving billions. And taken the bastards with him to hell. Also Data. Data's death sucked. I didn't like how the people from blizzard killed off Fenix, fighting bravely against the zerg, surviving getting the utter crap beat out of him, crippled and still refuses to give up. Leads the forces trying to save Auir from the Conclaves indesion, escapes from his planets destruction, survives on a strange planet and backstab after backstab never giving up, and then just like that dies for nothing. Duke deserved it but not Fenix.

Well, since this isn't limited to ST/SW...Phoenix/Jean Grey in X-Men (cartoon)

Saruman was a pussy, anyway. If he had any goddamn balls he would've burned the Ents and Huorns to the ground before they got their asses in gear. Then he could've taken Rohan and Gondor and had the Ring for himself in six months tops.

Emperor Gestahl in FFVI; the most powerful man in the world, reduced to a plaything of his twisted underling in his final moments, and his corpse thrown from thousands of feet in the air into the ocean.

Also, Seymour in FFX, beaten, battered, killed multiple times, and finally sent to the Farplace by the woman he had wanted to marry. Ouch.

For non FF deaths, Palpatine's death just has to take the cake; I mean, he was thrown kicking and screaming like the pathetic old man that he was into an energy pit by his former protege. Double ouch.

These aren't really crappy death scenes, but they're really not macho.

Kirk: a death for a pussy like Riker or Picard, not the death for one of the ballsiest captains in Starfleet history.

Qui Gon-Jinn: he just sort of bites it. He should have died killing Maul himself.

Andreas Venzilios: He just gets blown apart in passing. He's a character from all the back to On Basilisk Station and he just bites it like any nameless officer. It's just unoticable.

Captain Bush (Hornblower): He buys it in this stupid little raid. He's survived a number of huge ship to ship duels. An escape from Napolean's clutches. And he's just killed in a stupid raid on an ammo depot.\

Spock: the actual death was cool, manly and noble. It's how he should have ended it. And they go back on all of it, they cheat. They just plain eraese it. That cheapen it beyond belief.

General Madine in Darksaber...was there ANY reason to kill him...did it further the story at all. Nope. It was a crappy death for an interesting character.

Paul Maudib's death in Children of Dune...UGH. One of my favorite characters from the whole series, gone.

Optimus Prime...he didn't get to take Megatron with him...HELL he should have taken all the Decepticons with him and most painful of all...he is replaced by RODIMUS PRIME

Thank You I hated that Death with all my heart, and also the Way they Destroyed the Darksaber, was even worse. I wanted a huge space battle. Now I know why some of y'all hate KJA.

I know. I'd have Jinn and Maul killing each in a last clash of blades.

I'd have had kenobi knocked down and more or less out, so it's Qui-gon vs Maul. They're fighting, Jinn slowly wearies, knowing if he doesn't take down Maul himself the sith'll get obi wan. So he makes a suicidal attack, he kills Maul but Maul deals him a mortal wound in return.

Olga's death in Metal Gear Solid 2, it would've meant something if Raiden had not sat there like a vegetable while she gave her life so he could escape. Goddamn idiot.

Elly's dad in Xenogears, another example of a wasted death because the idiots he's trying to protect don't take the chance to escape.

Kinoc in FFX, the manipulative little bastard seemed interesting to me, I wondered what he'd do next, then he turns up dead, don't even frickin see it. Lame.

And just to have someething that isn't from a videogame.. uh..

Boba Fett, supposed bad ass bounty hunter dies screaming like a little girl because he got smacked in the back by a blind man with a stick (nevermind the EU, at that moment it was a death scene, and it suck-diddly-ucked)

Exactly, that's what I was hoping for (and expecting) when i first saw it. It's so much better than the crappy slice and dice they pulled.

Not to mention it echoes, Obi Wan's own sacrifice on the Death Star. It's a kind of full circle thing.

Not to mention it'd be just so much more noble and appropriate. for both of the characters.

Crappiest deaths... Hmmm... If you're talking about deaths that happened to people who didn't even deserve it... Raine Loire from FF8, Aeris from FF7, Maul...

Ah, crap, everyone's mentioned these before...

Anakin Solo's death. There was absolutely NO POINT whatsoever to him dieng. Fuck the attempt that it was because he was saving the other Jedi. What's the point of Chewbacca's death? Chewies sacrifice allowed Anakin to sacrifice himself? They couldn't have offed Lando or somebody? Crix Madine's death was crap as well. KJA sucks. Not only that, he didn't kill of Daala. His books to me just cry 'Lucas Bitch slap' more than anything.
