It is also possible that it simply got lost while hunting.

I heard this report on my commute home. Its not uncommon for whales and seas to swim up the California Delta, but still to make it 70 miles inland is pretty impressive. This guy is very lost!

This sea lion and me have one thing in common: we've both been lost in Los Banos! Los Banos is the only place where I have a police record (that I know about </black helicopter mumbling>), and it's due to being lost when I was about seven years old while visiting my cousins in Los Banos.

And I'm sure you all really wanted to know about my misadventure in a shitty hick town named "The Bathrooms". That's why I told it.

Actually Axis Kast's argument goes like this: if you can't have it as a pet in your living room, it should be shot. All animals can be pets by default (tigers, whales, dinosaurs) because of some genetic trait makes them "respect" humans, until they attack a human for the first time.

Sea Lions like Seals are cute animals. They can be nasty though is they attack.

There was a followup to this. The sea lion had a bullet lodged in the back of its head. That might explain how it would be disoriented enough to end up 60 miles inland.

It survived a headshot. Impressive durability.
