I'm wondering what compelled him to swallow coins. Wouldn't he have noticed something really wrong sometime in the course of the time he was swallowing them?

My mom once counsled a person who ate saftey pins (she told me about this after hearing this story).

It had me thinking about people testifying that they'd thrown up pins because of witchcraft, and wondering just how common this disorder is.
