Technically it isn't heraldry as such--the Turks don't have a precise equivlant--but rather a Sultanic Tugrah, a unique caligraphic work formed for each Sultan in the Ottoman dynasty which was used to form seals on official documents, indicating they had the power of an Irade, or decree. The one in my avatar here was that of Abdul Hamid II until I changed it, while the one in my avatar at SB.com is that of Suleyman the Lawgiver; though reduced in size due to their requirements as to be nearly indiscernable, though did invite some comment.Tsyroc wrote:
