Ok, you might be tired of having to watch dumb comercials, read stupid ones in the paper, get spam in your e-mail, and are tired of the telemarketer calling durring dinner. But those all pale in comparison to another form of advertising.

Fax Advertising.

You got it. It is possible to advertise by fax. You know what that means? You are forced to pay for an advertisement that someone else sends you. No, you don't have a choice as far as these advertisers are concerned. They are perfectly content to make you pay for what they want you to read. Did you know the law makes this form of advertisment illegal? Well they don't care, they think the law is "out dated" and they will fight in court for their "right" to make you pay for their advertising.

As far as I am concerned, this is like a telemarketer calling you collect, only you can't hang up untill their done. This is fucking bullshit and I hope the government prosecutes these dumbfucks and that the courts reject their appeals.

The FCC just sued Fax.com over fax spam, actually.

I hate fax spam. We get at work all the time, at the Courts!!! We need to keep our faxes clear for important things, not for messages about phone ring tones.

It's illegal here in CA to use the FAX like that. If you can catch them, it is something like 500 dollars per incident fine.

We actually dont get that many.


We done away with faxes in each building. There is one main fax, and then each fax is emailed to the receipient.

Annoying ads, god I hate spam, fortunatly here that particular form is illeagal.

I thought that this form of advertising was made illegal all over.

And this has been around for a while now...

Thankfully my fax machine is never on unless I'm expecting a fax, which is next to never. I predict that they'll soon be sending out kids to put signs in people lawns, or even sticking permanent logos onto people's cars in parking lots. Highly illegal of course, but they have the money to tie things up for years in the court system, those fuckers.
