I was doing some 'research' (read: browsing the web instead of working) and for some reason my topic became Christopher Lee, and I must say that I am impressed. I was trying to get some names of really old actors that have acted in the latest Hollywood blockbusters (like X-Men, LoTR and Star Wars) but I realized that this guy hasn't stopped acting since 1947! Is he a successful actor or what? He's about 80 years old and doesn't look like it in AoTC...
I'm seriously considering becoming a fan of the man, and not even because I like his acting

Yes he is. "His 250 film and television credits have earned him a spot in the Guinness Book of Movie Facts and Feats for the international star with the most credits."
"Is listed as the Center of the Hollywood Universe by the Oracle of Kevin Bacon web site at the University of Virginia , because he can be linked to any one in hollywood on average in 2.59 steps. That is less than either Heston, Charleton or Kevin Bacon himself."

He was Count Dooku in AotC, and wasn't he also Scaramanga in the Man With the Golden Gun? What was his first role?

Oui. Well, his first movie role was in Corridor of Mirrors, just the beginning of his early horror flicks. He was in the original Moulin Rogue and Captain Horatio Hornblower. He was in Curse of Frankenstein with Peter Cushing. Peter was Frankenstein and Christopher was the monster.

Cushing was also Dr. Van Helsing in a dracula film.
They have acted together in twenty-something horror movies. Lee joked that people thought they lived together in a cave.

Yes, and the reason Christopher too on Count Dooku was to honor Peter. Cool, neh?

I personally love the guy. I think he's one fuck of an actor, and he really deserves an even bigger name than what he's got. The man's INCREDIBLE.

I liked his acting. He carries off the "villain possessed of superior intellect and great power" role very well.
I also heard he's one of the world's top ten fencers. Is that true?

He has a autobiography out that is pretty interesting.
Christopher Lee, Tall, Dark and Gruesome.
If I recall correctly he was a spy of sorts in WWII. He speaks something like 6 languages. I know he's done some horror movies in Spanish and I think he's done some work in Itallian.
I know that [The Howling II[/i] which he was in absolutely
blows! Although, some of you pervs might
like the end credits.
