Why Does Keanu Reeves continue to get acting Jobs??

Well why does he? Especially roles that are way over his head. Such as Dracula, The Devil's Advocate, and a good majority of roles that would require acting. (Except for the Bill and Ted Movies and the Matrix) I find it silly that producers and casting directors consider him for a role that requires a lot (or vast) of range. Anyone Agree?

I've got to agree with you. I don't know why he keeps working either. He's done some good ones but has made a whole lot more bad ones.

You don't need talent or logevity ot make it big these days. How do you explain Britney Spears?

The only movies of his that I am familiar with are Speed and The Matrix. In neither did I find the acting to be that bad.

Meh. They weren't too bad...but I really don't like his acting...or lack, thereof...

Same here. The Replacements wasn't too bad either. I don't think he does entirely too well in roles that require a great deal of passion (He plays a brooding protagonist pretty well).

Point Break wasn't bad either. How odd a Canadian has a great Southern Californian accent. (Which is his only accent.)

I never got to see Hardball...but I heard some good things about that one...

He's obviousily not a Tom Hanks, but that doesn't mean he's bad, just limited in what he can do. You simply have to be sure to cast him in a type of role that fits his acting personality. The Matrix seemed to be a good fit. Casting him as Captain Miller in Saving Private Ryan would have been a big mistake.

I'm so disappointed in Tom Hanks. He has forgotten his comedic roots.

That doesn't count. It's not the PERSON acting. It's only his voice.

True...but he makes it SOUND funny is what I mean. It just wouldn't be right with any other actor.

Probably, but I miss the old Tom, from Boosom Buddies. He's a great character actor and has great body movements.

I'm sure that he's great in all those dramatic roles, but he hasn't done a comedy (OTHER THAN TOY STORY I & II) in 10 years.

His appearance as the bastard prince in Much Ado about Nothing was good. But then campy Shakesphere villians doesn't really require skill.

Keanu Reeves is popular because he makes the women wet between the legs. Hollywood executives are stupid, but they're not that stupid; they know this is an asset.

Not to anger anyone or to be disrespectful but why do you talk of Tom Hanks in that way. Tom Hank has not forgotten his roots, he has moved up to better roles. Tom Hanks should be up there with Frank Sanatra, Charleton Heston, Anthony Quinn, Samuel L. Jackson, and Morgan Freeman.

Or post 09-11-01 Robin Williams, who in interviews says that he hasn't been abloe to do anything lighthearted since he lost two close friends on one of the flights.

Keanu Reves has moved on to more sinster roles which seems to suit him. Toh Hanks is the King of Oscars. And Robin Williams is a very underestimated actor. Ppl have got to used to seeing him as an idiot, so recently he is trying out as the bad guy, and it seem to work for him, especially now that Jim Carey has replaced Robin as Hollywoods village idiot typecast caracter
