Partial sentences for thread titles

Who else hates them? You know what I'm talking about: somebody will make a thread titled "What do you think about ..." and then expect you to open the thread in order to finish the sentence and figure out WHAT THE FUCK THE THREAD IS ABOUT, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE THREAD TITLE!!!

I find them minorly annoying, but if the thread author's Zaia or Straha, I can probably guess whether I want to click on it or not.

They can be annoying, but some titles don't fit despite being fully typed into the box before posting so people cut them off. Best to use a newspaper headline that is both relevant and concise.

I agree it's a bit annoying.
Like when you've been in a discussion, and want to find the thread again, but you forget the title.
It should be concise and relevant to the trhead topic.
That beign said, I think you should rename this topic to "Who else hates..."

They are only slightly LESS annoying than the threads whose titles are "AAAARRRRRGHHH!!!!" or something like that when the thread content is some news story about the US president or how the author is failing exams or whatever.

What annoyed me most was a poster here a few weeks ago. We got a title that said one thing, a poll that asked another and then a OP that asked a third thing. In short i hate being missled.

Yes, I dislike this. Granted, I am not of those that are not guilty, but I try my best not to do so (unless it's a spamish thread that doesn't need to be looked at). Basically, I don't take interest in most threads because they don't speak about what they're about most of the time.

Title: AAAAAAUUURRGGH!!!!
Topic: I've just been shot in the buttocks!!!
That would be acceptable.

Or perhaps in incident involving cats and or stale bread.

I hate them too, but sometimes a full thread title doesn't fit in the subject header. That can be annoying.

A thread title should be like the first sentence of a paper or report. It should be concise but descriptive of the post's subject.

eh, it always annoys me when there's a poll in a thread and it has absolutely nothing to do with the thread title. or at the very least nothing too relevant. on another board i go to, for example, one guy's latest post was this: "Is spyware illegal". yet his poll was " do you hate spyware?" which seemed incredibly fucking inane.

What annoys me most is when people post a title like "How to <do something>?" "How to ..." is not a question. It is a heading.

It is highly annoying, and even if the thread is 20 pages long, I refuse to click on them.

If any more of you smartasses decide to start posting partial thread topics just to annoy Mike, I will go on a fucking crackdown.

fix my post count, and get my stars back. Things I previously earned. I guess he saw my joke as a bit assholish, so I would like to apologise by helping out the site and hopefully get my previous stats back

Do you think Wong would grace me with the title "Target of Wong's PMS" if I asked?
