Guy from Phildephia who killed his girlfriend and was caught when they found the body stuffed in a trunk in his closet.. He however managed to skip town and hid out in France until a couple years ago when he was found. He was tried and convicted in abstentia not long after he got away. However as part of the extradition deal he gets a new trial, stupid fucking French.
Currently his defense is basically that the government hid the body in his closest because he knew too much about their mind control programs and they needed to discredit him.

Mind control..... ehhh....
Fry the lawyer too, if that's the defence he is a prime candidate for an retroactive abortion.

I'd imagine that he's representing himself and it's a ploy to get an insanity verdict.

They draw shit like this out too much. It's an example of how things work in this country. I knw there are some outside influences but for shit like that, when they find him guilty they should execute him. I'm not talking about letting him sit in jail for decades, I mean march him out on the front lawn and hang his ass. Then let him swing in the breeze for a week or two then ask if anyone else wants to try the same thing.

He killed his girlfriend and stuffed her body in a closet. 'nuff said.
Philadelphia must cleanse all these assholes from the city. People like Ira and groups like MOVE are what give my fair city a bad rep.
Death! Death to the heathens!

They may be heathens, but killing him is no better than him killing his girlfriend, in retrospect. I understand that you don't like the organizations that are in you city, but lashing out and screaming for deah isn't going to solve anything...

Well one of the Supreame Court's Justices back over a hundred years ago said that the primary use of capitol punishment was for the purpose of sating humanity's sick need for Bloodlust.

Nope, in both his trails he did not try that defense.
We'll now he's been convicted and sentenced to life, which in PA really is life. Death penalty had to be dropped as part of the extradition deal as well.

Well he's lucky that he wasn't tried in California, Canada and France really hate us. Because we have a tendency to ignore deals made with the Federal Government, or Foriegn Governments and go ahead and add Death Penalty attachments on Extradition cases AFTER we have them in custody. Californiacation for all it's liberalness likes to have it bothways and ever since prop 13 hasn't given a flying f**k about National or International law. (I wonder if they know what the Civil war really was about anyways.....)

That almost happened in PA, a lot of people where pushing for a fuck the French approach.. The Federal government can promise, IT won't give the person the death penalty, but if the State never does well..
There was a lot of talk that the Feds might promise not to give various terrorist suspects the death penalty, then turn them over to a state that lost people on 9/11 and have them tried there. That state could then do whatever it wanted In terms of punishment.

What if the government really did stuff the body in his closet to discredit him because he knew too much about their mind control programs?

It took us 2 years to Extradite Charles Ng, from Canada. This is after he had already killed 3 people up there, and 21 people in California. The Mounties said that this would be the LAST time they would allow the U.S. to extradite someone facing capital charges here, that was serving time for a crime over there if we broke our word. Charles Ng is presently sentenced to Death by Leathal Injection.
I haven't heard of any new cases since then.
