Random weird things you wish you could do.
These aren't special abilities, just tasks you don't have the time, skill, or financial means to accomplish.
Mine: I wish I could recreate Kurosawa's "Ran" as a stop motion lego movie.

Beat my friends in anything.
"I want to mow down a bunch of motherfuckers with absurdly large weapons and relative impunity - preferably in and around a skyscraper. Then I want to fight a grim battle against the unlikely duo of the Terminator and Robocop. The last level should involve (but not be limited to) multiple robo-Hitlers and a gorillasaurus rex."--Uraniun235 on his ideal FPS game

Achieve oral self-gratification. Although that's understandable.
I'd like to build a minifig-scale ISD out of Legos, although it wouldn't fit in my house, cost tens of thousands of dollars of Lego blocks, and it would either take a whole lot of glue or impressive design to keep it together, especially if I want all the interior details accesible.

Honestly? The special thing that I don't have the time or skill to do (but would like to do) is to devise some kind of scientific principle or engineering innovation which would take its place in the technical lexicon of future generations the way Newtonian physics, Cartesian co-ordinates, or Edison's lightbulb did.Bug-Eyed Earl wrote:These aren't special abilities, just tasks you don't have the time, skill, or financial means to accomplish.
Of course, that's the kind of ambition that few people really have, even if they idly talk about it. Ultimately, one ends up deciding that they're either not up to the task or not willing to make the sacrifices necessary for it, particularly since success is by no means guaranteed. Hence people end up doing perfectly mundane things and leaving only their memory and their offspring to future generations.

Run for political office and have a realistic chance of winning.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963
