Town falls for Water Gag

Remember the old Dihydrogen Monoxide gag? Stating how it's a colorless, odorless chemical that's dangerous if inhaled, and other nasty(but true) statements, before it's finally let on that it's just water?
A Town in California fell for it, and almost banned the use of styrofoam cups because of it.

I wonder how the vote goes when the next science standards update goes in front of the local school board.
