Guitar (the
God of all insturments ::glares at anyone who looks like they may disagrre
::), some bass (electric), some simple clarinet songs, some drums, and in a previous life within this one I could play French Horn, Trumpet (somewhat), Bugle, and a little bit of Alto Sax (ask me to play these now and the bleeding from your ears is exactly what you deserved!) Oh, I almost forgot, I can also play a recorder, Chanter, and a Harmonica.

KNEW you had to be a trombonist!
Me, all brass and woodwinds, percussion, piano, very little cello and double bass, bass guitar. My major was clarinet, I played bass clarinet and contra bass clarinet in the Wind Ensemble and I also played tenor sax in Jazz Band.

Not as much as you think. I'm a musician. I can pick another musician out of a crowd and tell you what they play. I'm usually either right on or at least have the right family (brass or woodwind or percussion or strings).
Plus, I'm married to a trombonist. I can spot them from miles away.

I've mastered the playing of various air instruments. I can wail pretty good on air guitars and keep a pretty mean beat on air drums, and also have some proficiency with the air bass and air keyboard/piano.
I did play the violin way back when I was in high school, and that was the only real instrument I've ever played.

Having failed "Smiley 101" I'm not well versed on the use of smileys. I was being serious, you were supposed to read it and do what that smiley does. My store staff has an air band, and we can jam along to any song on the radio.

I wonder if Kelly can guess what I play...? Anyways, I played a recorder in 4th grade...and I woul like to learn the following: Oboe, Cello, Piano, Bass guitar, Bassoon, and possibilty of flute and/or French horn. Trumpets, as well as most brass instruments, can be quite obnoxious...except maybe trombones, for whatever reason...hrm...? Clarinets = YUCK!

But you said the violin is the only real instrument you have ever played. The other instruments are real as well, aren't they?

If I could play the piano, I could play the air piano. So if he could play the air piano, he could play the piano. Big difference. There's your second "real" instrument.

I play the violin, not some loud obnoxious piece of metal. And I want to learn how to play the bass guitar (Primus's bass guitarist proved the kick-assness of the instrument)

Why do people find brass to be obnoxious? I find electric guitars (played in a heavy-metal way), bagpipes, and somtimes organs to be obnoxious, but not instruments such as French horns or tubas. They produce appealing sounds. Without them, many symphonies would suck. Pracitically all of Star Wars' music would suck.

I just love bashing band instruments....it's so much fun when people react with shock and outrage and start yelling at me. I realize that symphonies would suck without the brass.
