Raiders of the Golden Eyeball

I made an Indy Jones fan film in high school waaaaaaaay back in
'82. In order to use the new video cameras and VTRs the school just bought, the movie had to have something to do with health class, and my health instructor was completely behind the idea, since he was the media class instructor too!
So we made "Raiders of the Golden Eyeball", where Indiana Jones would go find the Eyeball that held all sorts of great secrets about eye care! I recently digitized it from the 22 year old videotape. I was thinking of making an Indy trailer, using that and "Raiders of the House of Death" Indy movie we never finished. Anyway, here's the major action scene toward the end of "Eyeball". If you look closely, you can see "Indy" (Frank Rodriguez) yelling for the car he's being dragged behind to stop!

Were his pants actually smoking from friction, or was that just a special effect?

No. He was laying on a skateboard, and it had a smoke pot taped to the bottom!
Frank was careful to keep his arms and legs a little evevated, but he still ruined the tips of his shoes, and the knees of the pants. The car wasn't going any faster than 5mph!

Yeah, you and a couple others have seen that scene. I hadn't digitized the entire movie until this past weekend, though. I'm glad the tape is still ok; I was told (at the time) videotape had a shelf life of 10 years.

Okay, yeah, it did suck. That music, with a car going like 2 mph? *snickers*

If I was going to make a fanfilm for something, I would save up a BUDGET.
And not have the actress giggle as Indy helped the bad guys out the door.

A BUDGET? What's that? This was something to do in high school other than a extra credit essay on the colon or something! EVERYTHING was borrowed: Indy's "whip" was a school jump rope, Indy's hat was my dad's, Indy's "satchel" was an old purse, his gun was a cap gun that we put a firecracker in, the car was my teacher's (he's the driver that gets clobbered in the clip, BTW).
Yeah, and about the "actress". You try arguing with your star why we need his girlfriend in one scene being kidnapped!
There's a cave scene when Indy is searching for the Golden Eyeball that was made with chicken wire and paper bags. It looked pretty damned good, too! Indy just had to make sure he didn't brush against the "rock" too much!

If I screw up the courage, I may stick the whole movie online for you to enjoy!
