They're all so horrendous that it's hard to come up with a favourite.
Tino the Pretty Boy deserves first place.
Devastatin' Dave is a good contender for second place.
Personally I would have moved Orleans up from fifth place, and put it in maybe third or fourth.

While the ManOwar anthology certainly deserves its spot on the second top 10 list, the metal genre has seen covers much worse, such as:
Lucan Antikrist by Maniac Butcher. (WARNING: Obviously created in photoshop)
Tomb Of The Mutilated by Cannibal Corpse. (WARNING: Contains some EXTREMELY gory imagery, possibly so sickening that it's vomit inducing... and it's definately NOT work-safe!)
Dawn Of The Black Hearts by Mayhem (WARNING: Authentic photography of a man who killed himself with a shotgun)
Defenders Of The Faith by Judas Priest (WARNING: Just plain weird)
Point Of Entry, again Judas Priest. (WARNING: Just plain dull)
Painkiller... the THIRD Judas Priest album on my list. (WARNING: Just plain silly)
Is it just me, or is the quality of Judas Priest album covers inversely proportional to the quality of the actual music???
Pretty much all of
Immortal's albums except "At The Heart Of Winter" whose artwork would better suit something by Bal-Sagoth or Summoning. (heck, for that matter,
any album cover merely displaying the members in KISS-style bodypaint trying in vain to look "ee-vil" should make this list... though Immortal and Maniac Butcher stand out in particular)

Actually, all of those are pretty GOOD album covers (save that first one), Peregrin. Those take actual talent to create.

actually the manowar anothology wasnt even made by the band, it was put out by a record company without their consent, using a discarded photo from the 1982 photo sessions for Into Glory Ride (which itself may be a contender for "worst album cover").

Unfortunately, the creator of this list missed something rather interesting on #8 (The McKeithans) on the list: That person on the bottom, IS A MAN! I swear it! Either that or she is the ugliest bitch I have EVER seen!

I could imagine Micheal Jackson making a song with that title.
"Are you referring to God in the song title?"
"No, I want to touch that Tino Kid!"
I wonder if there is some way to take the awfulness from all of the album covers and turn it into one really, really, really bad cover.

The original cover art for
GNR's Appetite for Destruction. Part of it is cool but a rapist robot?
![What the fuck? :wtf:](./images/smilies/wtf.gif)
The cover was changed fairly quickly and the original artwork got moved to the inside of the album cover.

I also dislike this album cover from Metallica's
Load just because I find the picture on the cover to be gross. IIRC the picture is titled "Blood & Semen". Makes me want to buy it how about you.

Good. Fucking. God.
Check out some of the other albums that he "covered."
I especially like "Happiness" with Ron Johnson.

And before anyone asks, "How the hell do you people find these things?" - I found it on another forum.

While that certainly applies to all the Judas Priest album covers (especially "Painkiller") and even the Cannibal Corpse one....
Does it take actual talent to snap a photograph of a shotgun suicide victim?
Does it take actual talent to photograph the band members in Kabuki makeup trying in vain to look eee-vil?

Looking at Tino makes me feel really, really, dirty. Pronstars should be overthe age of eighteen, not eight.

You listen to the sample of Devestain' Dave's song? It's fucking lame as hell...No surprise of course. The turntables actually sound pretty eerie.

That's not just any guy, that's the original vocalist for Mayhem! Really sketchy death, at that. After reading Hellhammer's acount of it, I'm tempted to believe that Euronymous did it.
