Ack, ate at McDonalds

Yeeargh, was out on the town this weekend and we decided to get something to eat, closest place with indoor eating was McD, anyway me tip is to never try a Big Tasty, they taste like they got concentrated mad cow disease in them, seriously there was something not right with that burger and I doubt it was a misstake either because everyone who has had one said they taste weird.
Nah, if I ever go there again, I'll stay with the quarter pounder, it's the only burger I like, generally all these fastfood chains suck though, you have to go to a real kiosk if you want good food, the kind where you stand on the street and order through a small window kind.

"Doctor, it hurts when I do this!"
Seriously, I had the misfortune of working there once. Stay the hell away. You do not want to know what regularly happens to any of the "food" there.

I know things can be pretty fucked up in bigger countries such as the US, Canada, UK, germany and whatnot, but those kinds of things doesn't fly, it seems correlated to population size of the country and city in question.
Besides, I've had people I know work there before, no such horror stories here.
The food here is merely average or not very good, but it's not like fucked up or inedible.

With one exception - in Halifax, where curiosity about the "McLobster" got the better of me - I have not eaten at McDonald's in almost five years. It's nasty garbage, and you can easily get a good meal at a neighbourhood pub or restaurant (or even Subway) for roughly the same price.

A few hours after eating the burger, His Divine Shadow starts to feel chest pains. They become so extreme, he collapses to the ground screaming, as the Chestburster rips out of him...

In Australia the health & safty department of the governent gomes down really hard on food places which do iffy stuff with food.
As such, fast food outlets are actually reasonable. Believe it or not, KFC is actually reasonable quality...

McLobster? Isn't that like getting a bucket of shrimp from the Kwik-E-Mart?

I like kfc here in the us. Atleast there's a chance you'll survive most chicken bourn diseases. Unlike madcow.

I had reliable info beforehand that it was edible, and it wasn't half bad.
I wouldn't recommend it, though; the lobster rolls from the little seafood shacks are better (and cheaper) and you can get good fries from them - unlike the reconstituted potato mush fries from McD's.

Though in the end it's still better than school lunch, if more expensive.

Schools are the only consumers who can buy the meat that all companies and other government groups reject as not being safe to eat.
EDIT: They have a contract to buy such low quality meat legally.

I used to badmouth McDonalds all the time. Then I wound up in Corfu, New York, to go to traffic court, and every single eatery was either:
1) Closed
or
2) Full of truckers.
I gained a new appreciation for the Golden Arches that night. Note that Corfu, New York, is the worst town in the United States of America. Everything except the traffic court and the hotel bar was closed at 7:30 on a Thursday night, and the bar ran out of Labatt on tap.

From a report of Burger King and MCD’s track record in Stockholm:
26/28 of McD has bad employee hygiene.
16/28 of McD unsatisfactory cleaning.
1/3 of McD’s food has in testing shown unacceptable high counts of bacteria.
The onions where the worst kept food.
10/10 of BK has bad employee hygiene.
9/10 of BK unsatisfactory cleaning.
9/10 of BK food has in testing shown unacceptable high counts of bacteria.
Swedish only I am afraid
As a note, I don't eat at fast food restarants anymore.

The only thing even remotely edible from there anymore is the fries, and even then, that's when nothing else is around.

That's because they're reconstituted onion flakes, and instead of doing up fresh ones, most morons just toss a new pack in on top of the old ones. They've been known to hang around for a week.

I have to confess that McDonold's breakfasts are pretty darn good. The bacon & egg McMuffins are quite tasty and their hashbrowns are always perfectly done. However I'm not touching anything on their lunch menu other than the fries and chicken nuggets.

Eh, the chicken fajitas and chicken caesar salad aren't bad.

I agree, and the BK chicken fingers aren't that horrible either. Can't stand Chicken McNuggets though.

I sometimes eat at McD. But really, the food is crap. Even if school lunches are lethal, at least they're cheap.

It all depends on the people working there, but the McDonalds just down the highway, and about a mile from campus are damn good. The rest are OK.
That being said, the only decent Taco Bell in this area is the one about 3 miles from campus.
