uhm Wong, WTF?!

there's some sort of wierd autolinking in the posts now, it's in completely random words, it loaded a crapload of spyware on my comp. the links seem to be just yellow underlined words.
what's with it? it's irritating as hell having them show up.

That's not coming from this board, and it's not showing up on my computer. It must be something your computer is doing from your end. Are you using one of those Beta Office XP versions with the asinine feature that adds "smart-links" at Microsoft's disgression and without the permission of the author?

Its not from beta Office XP. I got it a few months ago. I don't remember how I got it, but it was some form of spyware. Just ctl+alt+del to find out what program is running that shouldn't be, then track it down and kill it.

Did you install any share- or free-ware on your computer recently? That might have done it. That same thing happened to me a while back. Ad-Aware cleaned it all up.

found the fucking things.... yeesh gator, bonzibuddy, etc... and i have a popup killer, and i never clicked a damned thing... took me over an hour to get the machine back up to normal operation...
though i think i determined where it all came from, imesh, awful piece of file transfer software, loaded more crap on my comp than a truck full of horse shit... AVOID IT!!! (i do beleive i'm going to have to hurt brendon excessively for telling me it is better than kazaa and doesn't have any spyware...yeah...BULLSHIT!)
adaware found 117 parts of adware which wasn't there 2 weeks ago... yeek.

Actually, the idiot that came up with the concept of spyware, and anyone that impliments it, should be slashed all over (particularly in sensitive areas) and doused with salt and hosed down with iodine.
