Now that I'm working at CompUSA, and can buy parts at cost, I decided it was time for a major system overhaul on my computer.

The Result->

Image

AMD 64 bit 3000 Athelon Processor
Dragon Soyo Motherboard
1 gig (soon to be 2 gigs) DDR RAM
ATI 256meg Xtacy AGP video card + 128meg PCI (slave)
200+80+40gig Harddrives
DVD ROM/CD-RW
Kensington Illuminated keyboard.
4 Channel Cambridge Soundworks speakers.
1 19" Samsung Dynaflat CRT montior
2 17" Samsung Dynaflat CRT montiors

The final cost... $920.00!

There isn't a big enough ' :) ' for this!

I'm actually thinking of buying some of the lock down paneling like we have at the displays at work and bolting everything to me desk :p

Am I correct in assuming that the desk would be bolted to the floor as well? And the legs reinforced with metal?

With a comptuer as good as that we should be able to hack into it and make it come to us. It comes to me first, then you. Ok?

Heh. I hevn't gotten that to work yet. Games play great on the primary montior, but when I stretch them on to the other two they lag horribly. I know there is a way to do it, and a way to map different POVs onto my secondary displays, but I don't know how to go about setting it up. Anyone have any ideas?

I thought you were gonna say something like you got laid for the first time ever, so you'll understand if I find your post anticlimactic?

That's what I was expecting too.

If I was into computers, I'm sure I'd be thrilled for you, Fuzzy. However, your set-up sort of makes me excited about my impending 15" PowerBook that is a-comin' to me. I don't want to have to deal with all those machines that can go wrong like what you have. Bleh. Just one little machine is fine for me.

But yay for you that you're so happy with it all! That's really all that counts. That and rubbing in the fact that you have that set-up to all the boyz here. That counts too. :D

That is both sick and unnatural.

Don't bother with multiple displays for games, i've tried it before and haven't really come across any that are all that compatible with it.

I heard some bad things about the 15" like reliablility issues thats why I got the 17" because 12" doesn't satisfy
