Thefore I now request that Newbie be changed to...
Red-Shirt to truely honor the idea of this board

Red shirts? It's even more offensive than newbie.
What about Enseign? Or farmer? (Remember, before Luke was a Jedi, it was a farmer... Since every ranks is a Jedi rank... you got my idea)

My system would go:
0-50 posts~ Newbie
50-150 posts~ Youngling
150-500 posts~ Padawan
500-1000 posts~ Jedi Knight
1000-2000 posts ~ Jedi Master
2000+ ~ choose your own titlw with approval of Mike.

I really like David's idea of once you get a large amount of posts you can choose your own name that Wong finds acceptable.

Interesting idea. I added "Youngling" (good idea), and "Jedi Council Member" (1500+ posts). As for uber-posters getting custom ranks, that seems reasonable. Just ask when you get there.
PS. Regarding the "Sith Apprentice" title, it's currently for the mods. However, I reserve the right to arbitrarily make anyone a Sith apprentice. My dreaded Legions of Doom can always use new recruits
