Bombarded By Comics
I need some ideas on how to unload a few hundred comics. I've really been trying to catalogue what I have, what I want to get rid of, etc. My comics aren't the top of the heap; well, some are. But most are mid-'80s to mid-90's Spiderman, Punisher, Wolverine, etc.
I have never thrown a book away, and don't want to simply toss these. A friendof mine told me he just offered a set price for an entire box to get rid of his.

I've got a buddy who's into wolverine and spiderman.
If you want to, PM me a list of what you've got and what grades they're in and I'll see if he's interested.

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Mid 80's to 90's material mainstream Marvel had some high points in the collector's market.
Buy a Wizard's magazine to get a rough estimation(they list from Mint-Fair) and/or look at cons to see what they sell them at if one is both close by distance and time.

Shep also has a particular distaste for the 80's-90's Dixon/Hama Punisher.Nathan F wrote:Punisher? Contact Shep, he's all over those things.
He's far more into the Ennis Punisher, though if you happen to have Punisher kills the Marvel Universe, I'm sure he'd be interested.

you too, Wayne?
funny thing, back in '94 my grandfater owned a building he leased to guys running a comic distribution company. they ran out of money and were subsequently evicted. Anyway there were gaylord boxes FILLED with comics. many in bubble wrap filled envelopes adressed to people around the world. We got to take what we wanted. i have boxes of hardcover DC and Marvel classic reprints, all with a suggested retail of $19.95. Hell there are even shitloads of copies of that whole 'death of superman' comics. Some wierd shit too. I've been meaning to sell them on ebay, but like you i haven't a clue what they are worth.

A friend of mine had Spiderman #1. 3 years ago, while he was camping, his mom sold it in a garage sale for $10.
He still hates her for it.

And then in relation will comics be around 50 years from now...given the current two's standards....er...maybe.
As for getting Spiderman #1...if it's the Amazing Spiderman #1...yes.
Spiderman #1...maybe he lost $30...if he found someone who didn't have it.
