As anyone living in Toronto knows, it's impossible to get tickets for a Maple Leafs hockey game during the playoffs, impossible unless you want to pay a thousand bucks to some sleazy scalper in front of the arena. Well, not only have I gotten a few tickets, I got them for free, that's right, free! How? Well, I have to thank my BF for making the connection...it turns out that one of my good friends from my swimming days is the sister of a Leafs player. So we talked to her, and she talked to her brother and now we all have free Leafs tickets for tonight's game in Toronto!

My buddies are gonna kill me tomorrow since they have to watch the game on TV while I get to watch it live from the good seats. I am so gonna get lynched tomorrow...but until then..

Here's what I never understood: if it's so hard to get tickets, why are the stands always so full?

Shouldn't that be "Leaves"?

I used to think that "Maple Leafs" was an error, but, if you think about it, it isn't. I'll explain.
Say that you're having visitors tonight, Mr. Wilbur Child and his wife, Mrs. Child. Do you say that the Children are coming over? No, you'd say that the Childs are coming over. For this reason, the plural of Maple Leaf is Maple Leafs, since in this case it's a proper noun.

Damn you!!!
Oh well, I will have to watch the game from the good old 53" bigscreen television in the basement.
Tonight we have our revenge against the evil Senators!!!

Uh, they're so hard to get because the seats sell out so fast. Kind of common sense really....

It's actually kind of a joke. I can't take credit for it either; Yogi Berra spouted that particular witticism decades ago.
I always thought it was funny....

Without Bertuzzi the Canucks aren't going anywhere, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a Toronto/Vancouver final, but I don't see either team getting there. My pick from the beginning was Dallas/Tampa, though things aren't looking great for my original picks....

We'll see man, it's only game three....personally I don't see Toronto making it past round 2.

LEAFS WIN!!
Was that ever a brutal game, tons of stupid penalties too and there was almost a huge brawl after the game. We watched the game our ticket connection who shall not be named, we'll just call her M to protect her identity. It was a good game, and I knew the Leafs would win from the moment Domi leveled Marian Hossa, you shoulda heard the "Domi" chants! I tell you when they play with passion they just can't lose.
sidenotes, my BF was getting a bit too friendly with M, but I can't blame him since she is quite cute. I got M's brother (who plays for the Leafs for those with memory retention problems) to sign a few autographs for me, it was really weird since the kid's like 3 years younger than me. Fun night!

Excellent! Revenge is ours! Now onwards to the Corell Centre, where we will embarass our nemesis before their own fans
![Twisted Evil ](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)
. Robert's first goal was simply spectacular, but the Leafs have seriously got to stop it with those dumb penalties.
I say Leafs in 7.
Vancouver will at least make it into Round 2, because there's no way my Canucks are gonna lose to the Calgary Flames. The only team I really wish would make it into Round 2, but won't is Montreal
![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
. With the way they're playing, the Habs stand no chance against the Bruins.

The Domi hit on Hossa was awesome, he just leveled him and sent him skidding down the ice. If the Leafs can play hard & physical without taking stupid penalties we'll crush the Sens.
Oh yes, M is a babe.

Yeah, that Domi hit was amazing. I thought Roberts was going to bag a hat trick in the third when he came in on the left wing and launched one. Belfour was incredible as usual, but a few times he went right round the back of the net to play a puck and it was Klee or McCabe that saved his ass by knocking down Ottawa forecheckers.
Leafs in six.

I don't have tickets. But the TV is good enough for me. Certainly good enough to see the Flames bitchslap the Leafs.
Our hockey team is playing better than the Stampeders were two years ago. And the Stamps won the cup. As the Leafs will now.

Silly Toronot fans.
The Kyle McLaren hit in the SJ vs. St. Louis hit was VASTLY harder (watch it on MSN video, if you haven't seen it), Marleau actually SCORED a hat trick, including a short-handed goal, and Nabokov dominated the game again. I see little reason to believe in Toronto, if everything they can do the Sharks have done better.

Saw the highlights for that one as well, but I don't care what San Jose does when I live near Toronto
