I despise essay tests, which test only my awful essay writing skills and not what I know about the subject.

I hate hard tests with very few questions. At least with many easier questions, you can flub a few and be okay... but get stumped by just one question on a hard/few test and you could very well be fucked.
But I have to concur with this. The AP English test (and the score of 4 that I got on it) earned me something like 9 or 12 college credits... it basically wiped out my entire Writing core requirements at Oregon State University.Tests rule the universe. *Tested out of English 101.*

I hate hard tests no matter what. If it's easy, who cares how long it is? Especially if it's in school; the longer the better, because the more test you have, the less lecture you have.
I also hate essay tests, but not because I'm a bad essay writer. I'm actually good at essays when I get around to them, but I can't stand them because I've never been given a good prompt. I usually spend half my time wishing I could write an essay on why I hate the prompt I'm given.

And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Those tests where you don't know any of the answers regardless of how long you've studied, and there are only a few questions, but it is worth a lot of points. I also hate listening segments, especially if they're in a foreign language. There's always something you miss, and it's more of a hearing test.

I think you should take note of the fact that no one wants an oral test with you and stop touching yourself at night.

I hate hard with few questions, especially essay questions.
I much prefer easy with lots of questions. So long as they're not so easy as to be easily misconstrued into something else and i get crises of faith trying to figure out precisely what the question wanted.
But yes, get in the fucking catapult.

That was a no-brainer. Hard with little questions! If you miss one, it takes away a greater percentage of your points.
Now, if you said HARD withs LOTS of questions.. well, at my school we call that physiology. Freakin 80 questions, multiple choice (five answer choices per each, none of them random), 45 minutes.

1st day: 100 question, short answer test. Answers ranged from 2 sentences on up to highly squished paragraphs.
2nd day: 3 essay questions(shortest answer I gave was 2 or 3 pages).
3rd day: 30 pieces of music. Identify title, key, composer, date, opus number, movement, historical musical signifigance of piece, and nickname if applicable.

Essay tests. Those usually involve critical thinking, and I hate doing that if I don't need to. Barring that, hard tests with few questions.

Hard tests with few questions, particularly if these are essay questions which are badly written. Bang, bang: You've just missed out on 20% of the score for the entire test.

multiple-choice tests that employers often give to determine employee work ethics. especially when the option you would choose is not presented on the list. it's frustrating trying to pick the correct option when it's likely you'd do none of the ones listed.

I don't have much of a problem with tests, but I harbor some resentment towards tests with a few hard questions over ones with lots of easy ones, because each question carries more weight.

I hate easy tests, because I always feel like I'm being tricked, so I second- and third-guess my answers because I figure it just can't be that easy.
Length doesn't really bother me one way or the other, so long as it's hard.

I'm the other way around, I'm too damn lazy to do stupid coursework and assignments, especially when 80-90% of the assignments are worthless "make work" assignments which I don't learn a damn thing from doing. I waste a shitload of time to learn nothing and write 20 pages of bullshit, it pisses me off. I don't like exams but at least they're done with pretty quick.Lord Pounder wrote:I just hate exams full stop. Despite my intelligence i never do well at them. I feel tests put too much pressure on people and exams should be abolished in favoure of more extensive course work etc.
As for exams, I hate fucking essay tests. They give you some stupid vague question and make you write an essay on it, it's highly subjective and too much depends on how well your style & points matches up with what the prof or teacher wants. I do fine on them but I never know how well I do on them until I get the test back, whereas on other tests I have a good idea of how I did as soon as I'm done.
