Those are HUGE. Definetely not for arachnophobists.
I wonder how dangerous their bite is.

They Spiders on the pic are Camel Spiders.
Camel Spiders are not venomous, however there is a risk that an infection following a bite.
They can run with speeds of 30 kph afaik.
Edit: and they are no arachnids afaik, they have 10-legs

I just found an intersting link.
Camel spider aka Wind scorpion/spider
This weird looking arachnid is not in fact a scorpion or spider at all but belongs to its own order- solifugid.

IIRC there are no spiders larger than tarantula-size (including tarantulas) that have human-killing venom.

5" legspan eh? Oh, they can only run at around 10mph by the way.
Still, they look mean as hell. I'd smash the crap out of one in my house.

You people are slow. I've heard about these things for years, they were often attributed to those stories from the first Gulf War where they ate people's faces off in their sleep and chased Humvees and Land Rovers.
They are fast and they do chase people, but only for shade if you happen to be there. They aren't true arachnids as someone else said and they don't have venom, but they have a bite that will fucking kill like hell if you're on the receiving end. Most sources I have seen state top speed around 10-20mph depending on temperature, energy levels and so on.
Any 8-Bit Theatre fans will know that these make deadly adversaries.
